WILD IRISH ROSE-CHAPTER V

After the fifteen minutes went by, all who, originally, were inside the court for Sonny’s trial, reentered and sat down in their seats and were waiting for the jury to present the judge with the final decision. So, then, someone walked up to the judge and gave him, the jury’s decision that was listed on the papers which the person handed the judge at this time.

So the judge jus told everyone in a formal voice, “Okay, now, it’s time for the final decision from this envelope which I’m opening up, and jus have been handed from a member of the jury. In fact, the plaintiff has been charged for lying in court, on top of being charged guilty for attempted murder, numerous kidnapping charges. So Sonny ends up with a life sentence, and no hard labor if handled properly, can bring hi out of this one. Now, everyone may leave except for the plaintiff.”

PROLOGUE:

Bob thought, “You know, my dear, I’m strong-willed. No longer, do I have to fight to keep you. We both are aware of all this affection, we have between us. We have been having this for some time. Am going to continue to stay at your side. Will; keep giving you, all my support. Whatever it takes to get you back to your old self again. So, we, always, will be together.”

She thought, “We have been getting closer, every passing day and night. We have full trust in each other. Because of your support, my life, greatly, has improved. Am going to keep leaning on you, so our affection for each other will keep growing until it has reached its peak.”

Being Rosa lee has been getting sick, every morning, but doesn’t feel like she’s pregnant yet.

Bob’s going to stay at her side, and keep offering her, his comfort, and because both of them are having feelings of deep warmth for each other.

He said to her, one day, because he’s curious about her, “Do you think that Sonny ever tried to make love to you during your kidnappings?”
“No, certainly, not, if I ever was aware of it, I would have let you, know right away. Besides I care for you too much, Bob. In fact, that time, Sonny tried to pin me down in the school yard; he never had the chance to do anything to me.”

‘If I ever find out…that you’re pregnant…and the baby turns…out to be Sonny’s…he can’t have…custody of the baby anyways. Will, still, love…the baby...no matter if it…turns out to be his baby.”

In fact, Bob did, finally, remember making love to her, that one night, after she wasn’t in the mood for it. He had a memory of waking up during that night, and doing it with her in her sleep. But, for one thing, although, the two made love, occasionally, he doesn’t know if she remembered to take her birth control pills, every morning.

So he said to her while they were, still, at the school, and sitting in the cafeteria, eating lunch, “You know something…my darling, Wild Irish Rose…with you, having…been taking birth control pills…I think that I…made love to you…that one night…when you…weren’t in the mood for it. And I don’t…remember, you taking…your birth control pill…that night.”

Bob didn’t know if she really was having morning sickness. But he said to her, anyways, “If you ever…become pregnant, after you…have your baby…we should…get married, right away…so the baby has…a mother and father who…will make sure,…he or she is…take care, of properly. If you happen…to skip a month. Then, you should…see a doctor, right away…for regular monthly checkups…to make sure…that the baby is…doing alright.”

“Do you mind if I move into the mansion, so I get good care from the live-in-nurse?”

“I talked this…over with my parents, already. My parents have…agreed to allow you…to live at the mansion…whether you’re…pregnant or not. You don’t have…to tell me right now…if you want…to get married or not. But if…that queasy feeling…you are having…in the morning, persists. Then, you should…see a doctor…right away to find out…if you’re…going through a real pregnancy. If you are…then, we should consider…getting married right away. Then, the baby will…need to be in a family…right after it’s born…because it’ll need…a mother and father.”

“Do I get a guest bedroom, or can I move in with you in your bedroom?”

“Should move…in right away. My parents told me…that you can…have one of the guest bedrooms. You shouldn’t…move in with me…because they will…get the wrong idea. But, if you ever…have a baby…then, you can…move in with me. But don’t…worry about…being pregnant right now. Jus be sure…to see the dietician…my mom has…hired for you. And avoid street drugs…and other unnecessary drugs…along with alcohol. Will be best for you…to move into the mansion…jus in case…you ever…find out you’re pregnant. Because the live-in-nurse…will need to be sure…you get…the right care in that case.”

Bob took a day off from high school to help her, move into his parents’ mansion. So in his red car, he followed a moving van over to her parents’ house, on one sunny, but not hot day. As soon as the moving van arrived over at her parents’ house, he hopped out of his truck. Then, he led the moving guys into the house after she opened up the front door.

So the moving guys would know what stuff to move, Bob said to them, “Follow me into Rosa lee’s bedroom, first. And after all her furniture and computer has been moved out of her bedroom, be sure to take the brown corduroy lazy boy chair from the living room. Also there’s some clothes and stuff, already, packed on the front lawn. That stuff, I’ll pack into my truck.”

After all the stuff was moved into the van and Bob’s truck, Rosa lee hopped into his truck, and they followed the moving van over to the mansion.

On the way over to the mansion, she said to him, “Boy, this is wild. It feels good to move out of that ranch house. Won’t have my parents, running my life. And living at your parents’ mansion, will be different for me. Am four months along in my pregnancy? But it feels weird to me in gaining all this weight. Makes me, feel like a blimp. But will get used to feeling this way. Am, already, feeling like a mother, although, the baby’s not even born yet.”

He said to her, “Hope, you’re going…to enjoy your pregnancy, now. Know it must feel…awkward to be…gaining all that weight. But it’s necessary…to hold all that liquid…off of which…the baby is feeding. And before…you know it…you’ll be able…to feel the baby…kicking inside you. That’s going to…be another weird feeling to you. That’s, partly, because…you’ve never…been pregnant…before in your life.”

They all arrived over at the mansion about fifteen minutes later. Once, all of the moving guys are out of the van, they started to bring in all of her furniture, first, which the moving guys moved into the basement area.

One day, when Bob got ready to go to the high school along with Rosa lee, she’s seven months along in her pregnancy. She’s shocked to get out of bed, and could feel, that her bed is soaked. Not knowing what to do; she called a maid over to her bedroom right away with the live-in-nurse. She knew her water’s broken. It’s very obvious to her.

The live-in-nurse said to Rosa lee, “Jus sit tight, and lie down, and don’t do any pushing. Will be right there. I’ll also send a maid to your room to take care of your bedding,” replied the live-in-nurse in an anxious tone of voice.

So in no time at all, both a maid along with the live-in-nurse where there in Rosa lee’s bedroom. While the maid attended to her bad, the live-in-nurse is surprised to see Rosa lee, cramped up on the floor, and in tears, and that she’s going into labor, only being seven months along in her pregnancy being she isn’t due for another two months.

So while the live-in-nurse is doing hr best to try to calm her down, she called Bob over her cell phone, and said to him, “Hello, Bob, this is the live-in-nurse. Am in Rosa lee’s bedroom right now, and she jus woke up, and her water has broken. There’s a mess on her bed, and the maid is here, trying to change the bed, and dry off her bed with the fan in the bedroom.”

Luckily, he’s in his master bedroom, so with a puzzled voice, he said to the live-in-nurse, “Hello, yes…is something, the matter? Am surprised…that you’re making…a call to me at…this time of morning. Is Rosa lee…alright, miss?”

“There’s nothing seriously wrong with her. It’s jus that she’s about ready to eat her breakfast. And she jus happened to notice that her bed is soaking wet. Apparently, she has broken her water bag, and she’s started to have contractions which are five minutes apart.”

Bob has a wide look on his face as he’s so surprised, and kind of shocked about Rosa lee, so he replied, “Don’t know…how I’m going to…get her there to the hospital. In time before she…has her baby. Please do all…you can because…You know…what to do in this case. The hospital’s too…far away for the butler…or anyone for that matter.”

“What do you suggest I, do for her? I’m not a regular obstetrics nurse. Never have delivered babies before at home. How about calling your girlfriend’s mother? She used to work in obstetrics?”

“Okay, I’ll call her right away. In the meantime, please do all you can to keep her, calmed down if you can? Don’t let her, get carried away, and push out the baby before it’s ready to be born.”

“While I’m waiting for her mother, I’ll try to get Rosa lee to eat her breakfast. Please place the portable tray in front of her. She must eat, she’ll need all the energy, she can get to deliver her baby.”

“Okay, Bob, however go ahead, and tell her mom, that we need her over here on the double.”

“Better yet,” said the live-in-nurse, “I’ll call her, jus give me, her phone number.”

So, after he looked up Rosa lee’s mom’s phone number, the live-in-nurse called Rosa lee’s mom, and said to her in an anxious voice, “Have an emergency here on my hands; Rosa lee’s water has broken, and water is all over her bed. She’s been having contractions now down to every three minutes. Please come over right away.”

“Okay, Bob, I’ll bring my OR bag. I’ll be right there within a few minutes. And, I’ll, also, be sure to bring the right anesthesia with me too. Rosa lee wants an epidural, is that right? Okay, I’ll bring all the supplies; I need to deliver her baby at home. See you, soon.”

Rosa lee’s mom’s over at the real estate office, however she’s going to have someone, fills in for her. So on the way to the mansion, she stopped at the ranch house to pick up her OR bag. Then, she headed towards the mansion, breaking the speed limit all the way there. However she’s lucky, that no cop car stopped her on the way because she has a handicap sign in her car window. Also, she has a sign in the back window that she used whenever she has to be on the way over to a house when a woman can’t make it to a hospital when she’s in labor to deliver her baby in time.

So Bob and the live-in-nurse where there in no time at all. And as soon as Bob and the live-in-nurse walked into Rosa lee’s bedroom, since, Rosa lee, still, were on the floor, with Bob and the live-in-nurse’s help, they helped her back up onto the bed. And her contractions were getting closer together, so, since, Rosa lee and Bob haven’t gotten the chance to go to Lamaze classes, he did his best to follow his instinct in helping her get through her labor. And the live—in-nurse gave her, some good advice, and tried to cue her in on how she should keep up her deep breathing, and it’s helping her in a way.

As Rosa lee’s mom arrived over at the mansion, she called the butler on her cell phone. Since, he recognized her voice, and knew she’s there for an emergency; he let her in with no questions asked.

“Hello, sir, this is Rosa lee’s mom, I’m, here over at the mansion to help out Rosa lee; he baby is about to be born and I have my OR bag with me, since, before I got into real estate, I used to be an OR nurse. However in real estate I can work along with my husband, and I’m making a lot more money, that way. So, please let me inside, I have to get over to Rosa lee’s bedroom to help her through her labor and delivery. The live-in-nurse called me over here being that Rosa lee can’t make it to a hospital in time.”

“Okay, come in,” said one of the butlers, “The doors are open.”

As she entered through the front doors, the butler escorted her right to Rosa lee’s bedroom where she’s lying on the floor on a rug, still, cramped up in a fetal position. So Rosa lee’s mom has her OR bag in her right hand as she entered the guest bedroom. As she did, Rosa lee started to scream, so Rosa lee’s mom, quickly, gave her, an epidural to numb her, however she can stay during the delivery of her baby.

Bob’s and Rosa lee’s moms are at her side, trying to do all them to help calm her down somewhat as she’s very excited. Also, she’s keyed up inside from all the pain, the contractions are causing.

Bob and the live-in-nurse were at Rosa lee’s side, and her mom was getting the supplies out of her OR bag which she needed for Rosa lee, and shaved her and draped a blue cloth over Rosa lee as it was jus about time for her to deliver her baby. And once, Rosa lee’s mom had all of her supplies, laid out around her and on the oak wood dresser, it’s about time to deliver her baby. She’s been going through a long labor, however her mom, somehow, has been able to sense, that the baby should be about ready to come out into its new world.

So, Bob did his best in cuing her, and said to her, “My dear Wild Irish Rose…keep up that deep breathing. Come on…you can do it…although; we never…had the chance…to take that Lamaze class. Don’t worry…about anything now. I watched…a video at the library…about Lamaze. So I have…learned the actual technique. So I know…how to work…along with you. Breathe in, deeply…then, blow it out…Like this…listen to me, carefully. There, now…you’re doing it. Keep it up…my dear Wild Irish Rose.”

She shouted out to him, “It’s getting hard for me. ---Can’t take the pain anymore. ---Seems like it’s trying to overcome my body.”

“The trick is…to push out your breath…really hard. Blow it out…like if you’re…blowing out…a bunch of candles. The epidural is going…to take effect soon. But you’ll…be awake. So, that you can…experience your first baby…being born.”

She, really, isn’t herself at all. She’s getting carried away, and losing control, even though, she’s trying very hard to work on her breathing.

She’s yelling at him as if he stabbed her in the back, being her never has had a baby before in her life.

“Bob, leave me alone---what are you doing to me? Come on, why are, you, still, holding onto my hand. ---Come on, let go of me.”---

Then, as he and the live-in-nurse grabbed onto her arms, each taking one arm, she shouted even louder, “Hey, Bob, I said for you---to leave me alone.”---

As he drew back his hand, his anger was about to take over, however he’s able to control it as the live-in-nurse grabbed both of her arms. So, Rosa lee’s screaming at him at the top of her lungs, calling him, every name in the book.

But while struggling to control his anger as he’s furious with her, now, he said to her, “Come on, my dear…am jus trying…to help you out. ---If you don’t…want me to…hold onto your hand or arm…won’t do it…any longer…that’s all.---Boy, you sure are…a acting like a different person.---Didn’t know…that a woman could…be so ornery during labor.---Jus am glad…that you aren’t…like this all the time.---Sure would…drive me crazy…if you were.”---

He jus couldn’t take her screaming, any longer. So, he left the room until Rosa lee’s mom or the live-in-nurse let him, know when the baby’s born.

Then, the live-in-nurse and Rosa lee’s mom each stood near Rosa lee. Rosa lee’s mom kept a hold on her left arm while the live-in-nurse kept a good holds on her other arm.

“Hello. This is the live-in-nurse, we need a maid in here, right away; Rosa lee’s getting carried away, and I can’t give her, a tranquilizer be cause Bob and I can’t let go of her at this time. So, please get any one of the maids into her bedroom, immediately, she has had an epidural, however she can’t be given any more anesthesia, so, as soon as a maid comes in here, I’ll tell her what to do.”

“Okay, I’ve jus called a maid, she’ll be right in, and she, also, is bringing a wet washcloth with her to help cool Rosa lee down. The maid will be right there.”

So, the maid jus got there in time as the baby’s ready to come out; and, immediately, she placed the washcloth on Rosa lee’s face.

Then, she asked the live-in-nurse in an anxious way, “Okay, nurse, what was it, you wanted me to do; the butler jus told me, that Rosa lee was getting out of hand.”

“I hate to do this to her, but grab that strap out of my bag,” replied Rosa lee’s mom, almost, screaming out in anger, and her voice is sounding so smooth towards her daughter, “She has been screaming bloody murder, especially, at Bob, and he couldn’t take it, so, he had to leave the room before he started shouting at Rosa lee, himself.”

So, a butler came racing inside the bedroom, and he took some straps which he has with him, and with a maid’s help, although, she hated to do this to Rosa lee. The two of them placed the straps around her, and tied her down to the bed, securely, so she couldn’t jump off or even fall off the bed.

Then, Rosa lee let out a louder scream which sounded like a car, screeching; however the epidural should be taking effect on her.


Before the butler left the bedroom, the live-in-nurse pleaded with him to stay, jus in case, he’s needed again for any reason. So, she said to him, “She can’t be given any more anesthesias for her pain unless you stay nearby the bed.”

“Okay,” he said, “What, exactly, do you want me to do?”

“Stand at Rosa lee’s side where her mom is. As soon as her mom lets go of her arm, grab onto it.”

So, the butler and live-in-nurse held onto Rosa lee while Rosa lee’s mom got out the supplies, she needed. And then, the butler and live-in-nurse were given an order by Rosa lee’s mom.

“Okay, sir, you and the live-in-nurse keep a good hold on Rosa lee, and sit her up somewhat.”

As they did, Rosa lee let out a curdling scream as her mom gave her, some more anesthesias through her back while she took a very deep breath.

Then, suddenly, she calmed down, but the butler and live-in-nurse, still, kept a good hold on her arms for a couple of minutes, then, they released her arms, and she’s settled down now. At least, they hope, she is.

Rosa lee’s mom was ready to deliver the baby, so the maid took hold of Rosa lee’s arm as Rosa lee’s mom let go, and her daughter, almost, crawled out from underneath the straps.

Then, Rosa lee’s mom said to her, “Come on, Rosa lee, keep taking even deeper breaths, and blow out, and push giving it all you’ve got. The baby’s ready to come out. Pretend that you’re about to push someone down. But gather all that strength; you have left in you to push the baby out.”

So, she pushed really hard, using every ounce of energy, she has. She’s able to imagine, pushing someone out of her way. The baby’s started to come out; soon, she heard some husky crying. So she jus happened to try to look down at her bed right in front of her. The baby boy’s crying like it really wanted to be out in a world which is very new to him, compared to having lived inside Rosa lee’s womb for seven months.

So, easily, her mom pulled the baby out the rest of the way. And once, the baby’s, fully, out, Rosa lee’s mom has the butler put plastic gloves on. Then, she has him, grab a bucket nearby, and then, he walked back over to the bed again. The baby’s, still, crying, and Rosa lee has a happy look on her face, accompanied by many tears enough to fill a bucket.

Then, Rosa lee’s mom, with plastic gloves on, clipped off the umbilical cord, and then, placed the baby in a plastic blanket. Then, she carried the baby over to a sink over to the nearest bathroom jus down the hall. As she arrived at the bathroom, she sponged the baby down with some very fragrant baby wash, then, she dried the baby off well with a baby towel.

In the meantime, the butler disposed of the rest of the umbilical cord along with the liquids from Rosa lee’s womb into a white plastic bucket. Then, he left the bedroom, and carried it all over to the kitchen. Once there, all the stuff from the baby is disposed in a special place in a big plastic orange bucket which is for disposing of toxic wastes.

Once, he dumped it all into that special container, the butler carried it all out the front doors of the mansion, jus as another butler opened up the doors for him. Once outside, the butler emptied it all into a garbage dumpster. Then, the butler reentered the mansion through the front entrance, and walked into the kitchen, and placed the orange container where he found it after he washed it out with bleach.

In the meantime, the live-in-nurse was wiping off Rosa lee’s forehead, and then, she gave her, a sponge bath from an extra bucket which she put some warm water inside along with some baby wash.

“Hey, Bob, this is the live-in-nurse, guess what? Rosa lee has jus delivered a four pound baby, and I’m sure, she wants you to see the baby too. Her mom will be right back with the baby; she went over to a bathroom and gave the newborn, its first bath.”

So, Bob is inside his master bedroom, doing some homework, however as soon as the live-in-nurse told him, the good news, he, literally, ran over to Rosa lee’s bedroom after throwing his books on the desk inside his room upon being overly excited about the new baby.

Jus after he arrived in Rosa lee’s bedroom, she’s sitting up in her bed with tears of happiness in her eyes. Rosa lee’s mom wrapped the baby in a little blue blanket and the baby looked so beautiful to him and Rosa lee. Rosa lee’s holding the baby in her arms, feeling much motherly love inside her for her new baby.

He said to her in a happy voice, “Boy, my dear Wild Irish Rose…can’t believe…you’re crying over the baby. Must be happy…to have a little one…of which to take care. Love that baby…with all my heart…and soul.”

So Bob grabbed a hold of the baby, and right away, came up with a name for the baby, “My dear Wild Irish Rose…that baby, Reginald Robert…is so pretty…that I can’t…resist holding him. And the baby looks…jus like me. So, I know…that I’m its real father,” as he stared into the mirror at the baby, and then, back at himself. The baby felt so delicate in his arms that he acted as if it’s going to float away if he didn’t hold onto the baby with a firm grip.

So, then, he gave the baby back to Rosa lee’s mother, who’s feeling so happy for Rosa lee and Bob, that her eyes seemed to glisten, And then, Rosa lee’s mom left her daughter’s bedroom as she’s starting to drift off into a dream land being it had been a tough labor for Rosa lee.

That’s, although, it didn’t take long at all to deliver the baby; now, she could get some much needed rest. And while she’s resting, the live-in-nurse checked her out which didn’t wake her up being she’s so tired from having her baby. So the live-in-nurse jus sat at her side for a couple of hours.
