ONE DAY

One day, I visited Heartbreak Hotel
While there, this young woman wanted to show everyone, her hotels
All the guys, there, wooed at her
Then she knew for sure, all the guys loved her
When she would pull things on them
Tonight, the hotel turned into mayhem
When one guy came through the main door
To everyone’s surprise, he mooned that woman near the door
Then, he asked her to join him in his hotel room
Because inside his suite, there was plenty of room
For the guy to think about how she would be in his bed
So, he rolled off the bed
The next thing, she knew, he landed on his head
Because she knocked him off the bed as his body felt like lead
He was out for a minute or two
So, she started turning blue
But, then, she helped him onto his feet
And then, before he realized what was going on, he fled
Out of his room, and out of his head
She was so surprised at him, before her head
The night was very much in bloom
This meant, tonight, she would end up alone in the hotel room
But outside in the moonlight
The guy, she was jus in bed with, was out of sight
Since, it was too late for her to try to find this guy
Because she let him go, she was all the wiser
Because guys seemed to be plentiful
And she didn’t want some jerk, named Jonathan Seagull
In her life because he didn’t know better
He never did send her, any letters
Explaining why he took off on her like he did
Partly, because he had turned into a katydid
