THE GREEN CREATURE BY CHERYL V.

THIS GREEN CREATURE

This gal, Laura, lived in a very old apartment building by herself. What she didn’t know about this meticulous apartment, was that the place, possibly, could be haunted, because like whenever she opened her closet, she thought she saw some green, slimy-looking creature, ready to go after her.

The first time, this occurred was when she jus moved into the apartment. And she had been so auspicious at that time, because her parents, jus because they never seemed to get along with her, had moved away from her. And because she hadn’t been able to meet the expense of the maintenance of the house, which used to be owned by her elders, she had tried to set the house up for trade

But for months on end she didn’t seem to have any good fortune, selling the place. And when it came to the position that she couldn’t compensate for the mortgage, any longer she jus went into bankruptcy. And when it became compulsory to move out of that house, she had nowhere to go. So, she had taken whatever she could with her in garbage bags along with some food and water. And then, she had started living in the streets because her parents didn’t seem to be bothered that she was.

Then, one day, she was auspicious to find a shelter, and she stayed there for a little while. However, it came too much for her, living on what little food; she could acquire over at the shelter. And when the shelter became more than usually full with people, living, there, she jus had to depart the shelter.

Because it became too frustrating for her to be able to find a place to get her forty winks and eat, she, then, happened to be walking the streets, one day, when some guy in a fatigue outfit, which to her was implicit that he was from the army. So, then, upon her, making significant to the guy, her poignant story of her parents, having moved out of their house, and leaving it up to her to take trouble of the house, she, then, also, permit him to discern how she has been scarcely surviving in the streets.

So, this one guy, in feeling very kind hearted towards her, actually, gave her, a few hundred dollars in cash. And at first, she wouldn’t acknowledge the cash from him, although, she had been living in the streets. But upon him, permitting her to recognize that he had jus come home for leave from the army, and upon having established, then, that both of his parents had perished in a plane accident in an endeavor to get out to the army base to stopover to see him, his parents left him with an bequest.

And since, this guy, Leon Harrison, felt very remorseful for her, having been taking life real hard in trying to exist out in the streets, she, finally, acknowledged the cash from him, upon him, letting her discern he jus acknowledged this inheritance not long ago from his parents. So, although, he gave her, a lot of cash, this, still, didn’t seem to get to the bottom of her prevalent problem, at having no home for herself.

So, then, he, that very same day, since, he was on his way over to his apartment jus down the street as he jus had arrived from the nearest airport in St. Clair, he offered to take her in over at his pad until she could stumble on and meet the expense of residing in an apartment by herself.

So, she acknowledged his request to live in his apartment with him. Though, she didn’t recognize this guy, and he was a complete outsider to her. That very day, the two walked, together, over to his apartment on a very rainy day. And on the way, the two, almost, became, completely, drenched from the drizzle, which coming down from the overcast skies, that day.

Once, they both arrived over at his apartment, she became a little diffident to move into the apartment with him, jus because she seemed to sense, that there was something off the wall about this apartment, which was making her, feel very uncomfortable. However, she tried to plant this feeling out of her mind and walked up to the apartment with him.

Upon the two, arriving at his apartment, as he unlocked the door, and invited her inside the apartment, he permitted her to know to facilitate he wasn’t going to try anything on her, like gossip her into making love with him. And if anything ever urbanized between the two, being that they were about five years apart, then, she made it official to him, she was going to reside over at his apartment, lastingly

However, because she has no other place to subsist at this time, and no parents surviving and a family, who all are very distant from her, she, accepted his invitation to live in this apartment with him. And while she was living, there, with him, he approved that all he desired to be to her was a companion, and nothing else. That the on the grounds he took her in his apartment, was that he was feeling remorseful for her, not having a home of her own to live in.

By this time, she, finally, realized how famished and thirsty, she was, and actually, couldn’t commit to memory when she had had anything to eat or to drink. So, being this guy, Leon, was very apprehensive for her well being, he, then, being it was in the core of the afternoon, offered to acquire her something to eat and drink, especially, some Gator Ade, to rehydrate her.

So, since, at this time, she felt like she hadn’t slept very much in nights, she tried to take it easy on his black leather couch in his living room area, while he was getting some microwave TV dinner ready for her. And since, he has become quite famished, himself, he, also, put in another TV dinner for himself.

In the meanwhile, since, she couldn’t give the impression, it was considered necessary to get herself to settle down to sleep, he, at least, grabbed a bottle of Gator Ade out of his refrigerator, and brought it into the living room area for her.

While she was drinking down all that Gator Ade, he was very flabbergasted at how hasty she was consuming the whole bottle of Gator Ade. And since, the two were strangers, although, she seemed to have met him, somewhere, before he had departed into the army, a few years ago, she, still, felt like an outsider to him.

However, he decided to park himself there, with her on the couch, and give her, some companionship while he was waiting for the TV dinners to be done, jus to make her feel like she was wanted in his apartment. But he didn’t wish to make her, feel like he was roughly, trying to come on to her. So, he jus sympathetically held her hand, which she didn’t seem to mind at this time.

Not long after that, the two TV dinners were done. So, then, he walked over to the microwave, and then, over to his dining room area, where he positioned the two trays of food on the table, there, along with some silverware and a napkin for both of them.

At first, she didn’t sense like she could make it over to the table. So, then, he took her hand, very sympathetically and then, helped her over to the table. Once, he got her seated over at the table, then, he pushed her chair in for her. And then, he got some more Gator Aid out of the refrigerator for her along with two glasses of ice tea for the two of them. Since, today was sort of a very tepid day, and he reflected that some ice tea was what both of them desired to cool themselves off.

After dinner, he invited her to take a shower inside his bathroom. So, since, she didn’t even distinguish the last time, she had a good shower; she went ahead and took one.

While she was captivating her shower, he walked over to his bedroom, and grabbed some attire for her. However, all he had accessible for her to put on were guy’s clothes. So, after her shower, she jus wrapped a big towel around herself, although, she felt kind of funny of him, having seen her, all wrapped in this towel.

However, he guaranteed her that he has some clothes laid out on his bed for her. And that he’ll hang about in the living room area until she was, completely, clothed. So, in the meanwhile, he was observing some television, and as she was getting herself, clothed, she happened to see some green and slimy-looking living thing inside the bedroom.
At this time, she didn’t what to carry out and had the notion, she was imagining this creature inside the bedroom, and she was unrelenting to get clad while this terror still, seemed to haunting her inside.

Then, as she jus became fully clad with a t- shirt and some jean shorts on, which both seemed to be quite saggy on her, she then, walked out into the living room, where he was, still, observing television. She, really, didn’t feel like chatting much at this time. But she felt like there was some issue outstanding to do with having seen that green, slimy-looking creature in the closet, which required to be tended to.

So, upon her, walking into the living room, in a frenzied voice, she said to Leon, “I know this is going to sound quite outlandish to you, but as I was getting clad, I jus happened to detect this ugly green creature in your closet. Have you ever seen this creature around this apartment, before?”

“Are you sure that you haven’t been bearing in mind these things, because I’ve lived in this apartment for years, now. Ever since, I moved out on my parents when I used to be in my teens, and never have seen any green creature, anywhere, inside this apartment.”

“C’mon over here and have a seat beside me. Please endeavor not to be terrified because I discern this is a very old apartment, and that it’s probable that this apartment could be ghostly Now, put in the picture to me if you perceived anything else going on, while you were getting fully clad or even while you were in the shower.”

“Well, while I was taking a shower, it seemed like the water, altered from hot to cold. And that I had to scuttle out of the shower, and ravage no time in drying myself off, because I jus happened to gaze out the window while in the shower. And you won’t accept as true what I saw with my own eyes, while in there.”

“Please try to stay serene while you are trying to chatter to me. I’ve always been a very placid person, and used to have a wife a few years ago before departing into the army. But while I was in the army, she sent me, this letter, telling me, that she couldn’t put up with being by herself, anymore. So, then, she told me in the letter, that she was going to pack up and leave and go back with living with he parents. So, at this time, I don’t have any wife or girlfriend for that matter.”

“I know this might sound a little eerie to you. However, while I was taking my shower, I perceived this green shadow in the window, which caused me to hurry and get out of the shower. Then, when I was getting dressed inside your bedroom, I had this most atrocious sight in my life. This green creature was staring at me, and ready to hurdle out at me and get me. So, I don’t discern what I’m going to do, because this creature could come out here into the living room during the day, or at night, while we’re sleeping, and take one of us away.”

“Don’t try to fret about this creature, because there’s nothing that can be done to keep this creature away from us. And you’re sure; you weren’t dreaming or anything, because you jus might have been having hallucinations on seeing an illusion of that creature in the shower and coming out of the closet.”

“No, I’m making any of this up, and I know that I wasn’t dreaming. So, what are we going to do about this creature? I can’t try to go to sleep, and have this creature on my mind, tonight. In fact, I was going to try to go to sleep, right here, on the couch, while you’re watching television. But I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep with this creature, haunting me in my sleep, too.”

“I’ve got a rifle, and I’m not afraid of creatures, because I’ve come across shoddier than that while in the army, trying to battle the enemy. In one of those fields, I was in at one time, this green creature, which was one of my army fiends, was in the field. And had to bluster him up alive with this rifle of mine. If it can bluster him up alive, I’m sure I can slaughter that creature with my rifle. In fact, I’ll go right to the bedroom, now, and gun down that creature dead. You stay, here, so you stay out of harm's way and endeavor to get some forty winks on the couch, while I take care of that creature.”

She was a little petrified to be in the living room all by her. But she stayed, there, anyway, while he went into his bedroom, and got his rifle out of one of his drawers. As he was, he, actually, saw this creature in an illusion, try to come out of the closet. So, he figured this apartment was so aged that it was haunted. So, then, he, in pointing the overloaded rifle out at this creature, slowly, walked up to it, but not real close to it.

As he came within a hundred feet or so away from the creature, he became right on track in firing at the thing. And as he did, he overheard her, whimpering in the living room. Apparently, she could be having nightmares about this creature in her forty winks. However, he wasn’t about to depart his bedroom, until he was sure, this creature wasn’t alive, anymore.

So, he kept firing at this creature, and when he, almost, was out of bullets, finally, the creature became dead meat. But in the conclusion of its life, it seemed to fly into a rage and bits of it were flying all over the bedroom. Now, that he was sure it was dead, he, then, walked into the kitchen, and retrieved a garbage bag from the closet over there.

Once, he got the garbage bag, he, then, walked back into the bedroom, and spent some time, picking up after that green creature, which now was completely dead meat. After filling the garbage bag with the remnants of the creature, he, then, walked out the back door, and over to the dumpster, where he threw the contents of the bag, still, inside it, right into the dumpster. At first, he thought he saw parts of the creature, coming alive, but it was still dying.

When he was sure, that the bag stopped stirring him then, walked inside the apartment, and upon reaching the living room area, she, suddenly, woke up out of a nightmare. And she told the nightmare to him.

Jus after she told him, that this green creature had been after her, and then, had been shot to pieces, he told him in a solemn mood, “You can relax, my dear, and I’ll give you a sleeping pill, so, that you can sleep through the rest of the night. And do you mind if I sleep in the living room on a sleeping bag for the night, because after having seen that green creature explode to noting, I don’t have any gust to sleep in my bedroom, tonight. And I’d like to watch over you and make sure you are alright through the night, because if you happen to wake up ill, I jus might have to take you to the hospital. So, here, take this sleeping pill and I’ll see you in the morning.”

So, then, in a few minutes she was asleep, and then, he went to the bedroom closest, and got out his sleeping bag. In retrieving it from the closet, he, then, pulled out a blanket from his closet. And upon him, arriving back into the living room, she was asleep, already.

So, he lies on the floor after spreading the sleeping bag on the floor, and also, fell asleep for the rest of the night into the morning.

And no more, did that green creature, haunt either the gal or him, anymore, because he had shot down that creature for good.

However, in the morning, as he woke up, once more, he thought, he saw something weird happening before his eyes. And what he saw was a hallucination or he thought so, until a bunch of water came hastening right through the window. And it sucked him right up and he ended up outside the apartment. And then, he became swept away into a river nearby, and a current, then, took him away. No one ever retrieved his body, and she never even motto his whereabouts ever again.
