MANIA AND DEPRESSIVE ILLNESS

MANIA AND DEPRESSIVE ILLNESS
Both mania and depression are treatable. Doctors are having a hard time diagnosing this illness.
Everyone feels sad at times. The difference is sad is having to move away from family and friends. Depression is more than that. Depression keeps you from doing simples tasks. Such as having trouble getting out of bed in the morning, raising a family, taking c are of aging parents, taking care of a handicapped child, etc.
However depression is treatable through medicine and therapy. Depression can occur on the onset of teenage years, through adulthood. It is said that depression affects more than20 million people in the United States alone.
Mania is also known as the hallmark of Bipolar Disorder. Mania has a cluster of disorders. Such as restless feelings, eurphoric feelings, risky behaviors, going on spending sprees without any money, grandiose thinking. Also that thinking that everything can be accomplished in one day, etc.
However this illness is treatable through medication and therapy also.
