Andy and Susan wanted to go on a trip in an RV to a cottage of which Andy has full ownership of some property right on Runyan Lake in Fenton, Michigan. And being there weren’t any other siblings in the family except for Andy’s younger brother, Mike; he didn’t want to stay home by himself, that day. At that time, Mike happened to be having a feeling, that Andy and Susan were planning a trip in the RV.
Also, from the kitchen where Mike jus happened to be grabbing some breakfast there, a couple of pop tarts and some orange juice. And from there, Mike could hear Andy, talking on the phone to Susan. However Andy is unaware of Mike being out of his bed at that time. So, Mike made an effort to eavesdrop in on him, that morning while Andy was eating a breakfast of eggs on rye.
Andy said to Susan at the time, “My dear, the morning is so nice and sunny, and I jus feel like getting away for a trip in the RV. Being I have some vacation time, coming, I jus decided to take it. What are you up to this morning, my dear Susan,” although, right now, she, actually, is in Andy’s bedroom. The two slept together, last night, and Andy didn’t want to Mike to find out, that they had because it happened to be personal business between Andy and Susan.
Then, as Susan said to him, “Yes, that sounds like a good idea to me. In fact, I’m all ready, have taken my shower, and am packed and all ready to leave. Do you want me to come down right now?”
“Wait a minute, my dear, I’ll make sure, Mike’s not around. Okay, he’s up in the kitchen, getting breakfast for himself. Jus a minute, my dear. I’ll try my best to find out if he’s up to anything else.”
So, then, Andy walked into the kitchen, and Mike got the first words in.
What is this about you and Susan, planning to on a trip on a RV?”
“Okay, you happened to overhear my conversation with her, didn’t’ you?”
“Yes, I couldn’t help hearing you talk because I’ve been in the kitchen for the last few minutes or so.”
Since, I and Susan were planning to go on the trip alone, I guess the plans are changed, then. Okay, my brother, I don’t want to leave you out of the plans, and here, alone at the house either. So, hurry and get your things packed for the trip. Try to be ready in about an hour because I want to leave early. It’ll take a few hours to get to Fenton. And don’t forget to bring your hunting gear either. We jus might be able to find some time to go hunting while we’re gone if the weather doesn’t turn hot and muggy in the country; and we don’t have a lot of rain.”
“By the way,” Mike said, “For what are you and Susan going to Fenton? Are you two taking a trip to stay at your cottage up there for a few days and nights?”
“Yes, we are, Mike, now, go upstairs and get yourself ready after you have your breakfast. And there’s, also, some hot coffee, already, brewed. Have cups or two of it, it’ll wake you up.”
So, then, as Andy saw, that Mike is walking into the dining room to eat, Andy, then, got on his phone, again, and this time, he walked into the living room, so, Mike couldn’t hear him, talking to Susan, again.
As soon as Susan answered the phone, Andy said to her, “Okay, it’s alright to come down to the living room. I’ve got some hot breakfast, waiting for you along with some freshly, brewed coffee. However whatever you do, don’t go into the kitchen or dining room where Mike can see you. Because if he does, he might suspect that you slept with me, overnight.”
So, then, as she grabbed all her stuff, Susan, quietly, walked down the stairs and right into the living room. And she set all her stuff down by the black leather couch, and jus acted like she dropped in from next door being she lived next door to Andy and Mike.
As Mike came back downstairs about a half hour later, Mike happened to notice Susan in the living room because he figured, that Andy would be in there by now, waiting for Susan. However he wasn’t waiting for her at the time because, of course, she has been there in the living room for, at least, an hour’s time. But Mike figured, that upon seeing her there beside Mike, that she jus arrived from the house, next door, where she lived by herself because it is a small house, and not hard to take care of.
So, as he walked into the living room, Mike said to Andy, “When did she arrive here at the house? I didn’t even hear her, come inside the house. She came inside, so quietly, that I didn’t know she’s here until I walked into the living room jus now.”
“Susan jus arrived here, about a half hour ago, and being she had all her things packed the night before, it didn’t take her long to get ready for the trip. However she had some breakfast here, and the fold up table, still, is in the living room as you can see for yourself. She jus got through eating jus as you walked in here.”
So, Mike said to Susan, “Well, it’s nice to see you, again. I’m sure we all will have a nice trip in that RV. Every time, I go on a trip with my brother, we, always, have a great time, don’t we, Andy?”
So, he replied, “Sure I, always, have a good time because it is a relief to get away from my job when I can to go on a trip, anywhere, especially, to the cottage. That’s, really, some job, I have over at the clubhouse. Whenever I’m there on the job, there’s, always, a great turnout as far as the members go. And whenever I go with some members on an activity, I, always, seem to enjoy myself, and so do the members who go along. Some activities go on right over at the clubhouse, especially, the night activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays.”
PROLOGUE:
So, Andy has to take him along him and Susan on the trip, or else, he might try to steal Susan from him. It jus so happens, that Mike has been jealous of Andy jus because he’s been aware, that Andy is in love with Susan. And Mike has happened to have taken an obvious liking to Susan, himself. However, he, also, isn’t aware, that both of them are lovers by the way.
Andy has to worry about looking after his younger brother, Mike, jus because Andy had to take him in to live with him in his house jus because Mike couldn’t afford to renew the lease on his apartment. If Andy hadn’t allowed his brother to live with him, he would have ended up living on the streets. And Andy can’t charge him, any rent to live with him because he hasn’t any job at the present jus because jobs are very scarce right now. And is paying his brother, fifty dollars a week to clean his house, and to do all the cooking, and outside yard work during the week when Andy is on the job jus, so that he has something to do while Andy’s working.
Andy has been a member of the staff over at a clubhouse in taking care of the business unit there. However, sometimes, it can be a hard job, especially, because he has to allow the members of the clubhouse to do all the work for the newsletter.
Andy is hoping, that with his brother living with him, now, that his brother, Mike, doesn’t get in the way of Andy’s relationship with Susan.
Although, Mike can sense, that Susan and Andy have been having feelings of affection for each other for some time, Andy hasn’t found out about this, yet. However, whenever Susan stops over at the house, Andy tends to get suspicious eyes from his brother. Andy isn’t too keen about his brother, going along with him to Runyan Lake in Fenton, Michigan.
Andy and Susan, originally, was planning to stop in Holly where they were going to spend a night or two in the old Holly hotel. And this hotel had been built back in the eighteen hundreds when the city, officially, earned its name.
Susan is leery about staying there at the Holly Hotel with Andy, even for one night being that being they have to tag Mike along on the trip. This is because Mike’s likeness for Susan jus may end up causing her to keep her distance from Andy during the trip. Althought, she’s sure, that Andy has been having these feelings of affection for her as long as she can remember. And he has been, ever since, the first on which he met Susan over at a clubhouse for which he has been working for a couple of years.
Jus in Mike being his only other brother, and the fact that he likes Susan so much, has placed Andy in a position, that will, probably, make Andy, stay extra cautious of what he attempts with Susan at any time during the trip.
Mike is the type who jus might try to find some way to steal her from Andy
During their vacation. This holds near the truth jus because Mike has a feeling, that Susan will want to sleep with Andy over at the cottage during the whole vacation.

Mike’s very aware of the fact, that Andy has been having feelings of affection for Susan for some time.
However Mike hasn’t pulled anything suspicious, yet, or showed either Andy or Susan, any signs, of his liking for Susan. So, Mike thinks that either an RV or even the cottage could turn out to be the perfect place to cause his liking for Susan to bend towards his favor.
So, if Susan jus gives into her whims and her love for Andy while gone on vacation, she, probably, then, want to sleep with Andy, every night, she happens to stay over at the cottage. And this could, very well, divert all Mike’s attention from Susan, the whole time they gone on the trip in the RV.
So, Susan and Andy jus hopped into the RV with their stuff, and as they did, Mike ran out of the house, and hopped into the back of the RV. Mike jus wanted to come along on the trip, so, he could try to keep Andy and Susan, becoming closer than they, already, was.
It is a bright and sunny morning, as they all try to make themselves, comfortable inside the RV. However, Susan isn’t feeling so homey inside the RV because she can read Mike’s mind. Andy doesn’t know why, however Mike’s presence in the RV seems to be pressuring him to speed along the way. Mike’s doing this, hoping it’ll keep his attention diverted from Susan, all the time they all are inside the RV.
As Andy jus is backing the RV out of the driveway, Mike is causing him to feel quite uncomfortable. So, Mike has a glaring look in his eyes, and as Andy reached the street, he jus happened to notice the look in Mike’s eyes through the rearview mirror. This is angering Andy, and causing him to feel quite queasy inside, so, he pulled over to the side of the street right in front of the house. As he is doing so, Mike’s wondering what’s going on with him as Andy, suddenly, stopped the RV.
And jus after he did, he assured Susan, “Don’t worry about anything, Susan, dear. I’ll handle this situation; I won’t allow my own brother to treat me like this. He has no right looking at me like he jus did.”
Now, Susan, almost, is in tears because she’s perturbed over the fact, that she knows Mike’s wary of her jus because he didn’t get the opportunity to sit in the front seat beside his brother like he, usually, does during a family trip.
So, Andy stomped over to where Mike and Cher Bear are lying on one of the beds in the back of the RV. And being that Cher Bear lives jus down the street, and has jus joined Mike in back of the RV, Andy said to both of them, in feeling they both are trying to push his anger over the limit.
“If you two aren’t going to act like two civilized human beings, and stop aggravating me by wrapping your arms around each other; then, both of you get out of the RV right now. And don’t ask to go on any future trips with Susan and me.”
Then, Cher Bear turned furious with Andy, and this caused her to walk out of the RV. Then, she waited outside the RV, impatiently, while Andy confronted Mike about the situation.
Since, Mike is feeling all choked up inside, he didn’t say one word as Andy took him by the collar. And then, before he knew it, Andy placed his hand in a fist, and the two, almost, got into a fight. Andy isn’t about to create a scene, outside, in front of the house, and stir up the whole neighborhood. So, Andy, then, simply, led him out of the RV.
Cher Bear is standing outside the RV in tears because she’s upset over Andy and Mike jus because Andy, almost, got Mike into a fight.
In jus noticing, that Cher Bear’s face is all red from crying, and her eyes having bags underneath them jus because she’s feeling hurt inside, Mike said to Andy, “Now, look what you jus did, Andy. You have no right to stir up Cher Bear like this. Now, how do you expect either I or Cher Bear to enjoy the trip if you jus got us both teed up?”
And then, before Andy has any chance to reason with her, Cher Bear jus took off, unexpectedly, on Mike, running down the street, and, almost, got run over by some kid riding his bike.
Then, Mike started running after her, and as he arrived at her parents’ house where she’s been living with them, ever since, being a baby, he, then, walked up to her jus as she was about to walk into the house.
And then, as Mike wrapped his arms around her, trying to comfort her, he said to her, “C’mon, now, my dear, my brother and I, finally, worked out things between us. Everything’s going to be alright.”
“Don’t think, I’m going on this trip, now, Mike. That brother of yours has gotten me, so perturbed, that I don’t think, I’ll be able to settle down enough relax enough to enjoy the trip.”
So, then, Mike said to her, “Don’t pay any attention to Andy. He’s been spending so many hours, working over at the clubhouse in Port Huron. I bet he must treat all the members over at the clubhouse, the same way, which he, always, seems to treat me.”
“You mean, Mike, that none of the members, there, like his attitude towards them, either?”
“That’s, exactly, what I’m getting at, right now. If he doesn’t shape up, and start treating me like a brother should, then, I’m going to show him, who’s boss, and go over to the clubhouse, myself. And then, let the manager and supervisor know, about all the trouble, he’s been causing at home.”
As Mike gave Cher Bear, a big hug, he, then, said to her,” It should stir the manager and supervisor up enough, that they won’t trust him, working with the members over at the clubhouse, anymore.”
So, Andy jus happened to be standing jus outside the RV, and could hear everything, his brother said to Cher Bear. So, then, Andy stormed over to his brother, and said to him.
“You better shape up, or else, I’m going to see to it, that you end up on the streets without a place to live. You’re making me, very angry, right now, and I won’t put up with all this rigormarole, you’re creating right now.”
Then, Andy said to his brother, partly, being that Cher Bear happened to have overheard what the two were arguing about.
“Okay, I’m sorry, for what I jus said to you. I love you too much as my brother. Also, I love Cher Bear jus like a sister. And I’m going to do all I can to improve my relationship with both of you.”
“What you tell me, then, is that both I and Cher Bear are allowed to go on this trip with you.”
“Yes that is right, my brother. As long as neither you nor Cher Bear make a fool of me or Susan in front of anybody, we happen to bump into during the trip, and promise me, that you won’t put either me or Susan down.”
Then, Mike said to Andy, “Okay, brother, I promise right now, that I won’t do anything to stir up either you or Susan in any way.”
“Okay, now, you two, we’d better get back to the house, and over to the RV before Susan gets lonely and disgusted, and decides to jus leave, and signal a cab to take her back home.”
Mike, gently, bent over his good friend, Cher Bear, and gave her, a slight kiss which didn’t stir her up in any way. However Mike’s gentle kiss made her, feel very much like a whole woman, inside unlike any kiss, she ever has had before Mike came along. And, since, her first kiss by him felt so good to her, she, finally, settled down.
And then, both Mike and Cher Bear were ready to run back to the house when Mike jus happened to notice Andy in front of Cher Bear’s parents’ house with the RV.
And it’s a good thing that neither of Cher Bear’s parents was home at the time because they would have gone to extremes to chase both Mike and Andy back to their house. Also, her parents would have forbidden both Andy’s and Susan’s presence over at the house. And they would have forbidden Mike to see Cher Bear, anymore, being that he jus created a big scene.
Noticing that Andy has a calm look on his face, Cher Bear and Mike, simply, got into the back of the RV without any qualms, however Andy said to both Cher Bear and Mike.
“Please don’t stir up any more doubts in me; however Andy and I, somehow, managed to have the guts to hug each other like brothers should.”
Jus before they all are ready to take off, Andy said to all of them, “So, let’s get going before we hit any big traffic on the way to the vacation sight where we are going to be able to have a lot of fun on the lake.”
Neither Cher Bear nor Mike wanted to ruin the trip for themselves, however Mike said to Andy, “Promise you and Susan won’t pull anything in front of us, and we’ll go on the trip.”
So, Andy said to Mike and Cher Bear “Don’t worry about that at all. We’ll be careful not to get intimate in front of you two. However if we happen to get carried away, you, Mike, jus walk up to me, and tell us to watch our manners.”
For once, every one calmed down, so, Andy turned on the radio CD player to some rock n’ roll, and then, took off with some speed after doing so.
Mike thought to himself, “Andy is being a little too anxious about the trip in the RV. Also, he’s got the guts because he jus made sure, that the radar detector is on jus in case some cops happened to get near the RV; he’s not watching the speed limit either, I see.”
Andy turned suspicious of Mike and Cher Bear, so, he said to them, “If you two are to go on the trip with Susan and I, there’s to be no hanky panky on those beds back there, and that includes any French kissing or regular kissing for that matter. I’m sure you two have got the message by now.”
Jus as Andy said that, Mike and Cher Bear even pulled covers over themselves. And before Andy realized it, the two were asleep and snoring away which didn’t seem to bother Andy at all.
So, Susan said to Andy, “I hope, you don’t mind if I go sleep on the portable mattress. I, really, got to sleep kind of late, last night. It jus happened that I had a nightmare, this morning, and had trouble, going back to sleep right away.”
Andy said to her with much confidence, “No, it won’t bother me if you take a nap at this time because after all, this trip is going to take a couple of hours. And if jus happened to get kind of sleepy while driving the RV, I will need you, my Susan dear, to take over the driving for me at that point.”
So, then, Susan spread herself out on the portable mattress, and, instantly, fell asleep as it, still, is quite early in the morning.
The night before, she and Andy had gotten into a lot of French kissing, so, even though, Andy is alert at this time, Susan isn’t. So, she has to get some sleep before they arrive in Fenton because, once, they arrive there, they all, probably, spend most of the day, and maybe, some of the night, on the lake if the weather is good.
As Susan got out of her seat, and perched herself on top of the mattress on the floor of the RV, Andy whispered to her, “So, you are tuckered out from all that romance, last night, huh? Well, be sure to sleep until we reach Fenton because, once, we arrive there at the cottage, you are in for a big surprise on the lake.”
Then, Andy was in deep thought, “Besides, I have a cottage which Mike and I share with Cher Bear and Susan on the lake. So, I guess we’ll all be spending a few nights there, as we all have decided to save up some money, Also, none of us, really, want to blow any money over at the old hotel in Holly.”
And Susan is having a dream, and in her dream, she isn’t aware of it, however she’s talking in her sleep. And it’s a good thing that not even Andy is able to make out what she’s saying because if he knew, he would end up giving her, a good boot, before they reached the small city of Fenton.
“Oh boy, Andy, as you’re lying beside me in the RV, I can jus feel all the hotness, that’s going through you. In fact, as you’re facing me on the mattress inside this RV, I can, actually, feel like I’m being overcome by desire. And all desire seems to be driving me, wild, and at the same time, I can’t resist your hairy chest, either, as you are lying, there, beside me in only your underwear with me. And I’m wearing my orange bathing suit which is cut kind of high, showing off part of my butt.”
And jus as her dream is starting to get good, she, quickly, awoke, and at first, didn’t realize, that she has been dreaming about Andy being beside her. However as she looked around her, Andy wasn’t lying with her on the mattress. However there’s one thing, she’s sure about; as she looked out the window on one side of the RV, she’s surprised to see hail, coming down along with high winds which are sounding so spooky to her.
They all were sound asleep, now, except for Andy and Susan, and as she’s looking out a window, she screamed, “Oh no, I think a tornado storm may be on its way,” as she couldn’t seem to be able to sleep anymore. Also, she’s feeling very scared inside for her life.
Although, Andy has the CD player, playing soft music, not even the music can calm her down as she’s all keyed up inside.
Andy jus happened to realize that a tornado storm may be on its way with all that lightening going on outside.
So, as he turned the radio on, he jus listened, carefully, to the forecast as he’s driving the RV. And as he and Susan heard on the radio, that the forecast for the next hour is severe thunderstorms which Susan, already, has figured out, he said to Susan.
“C’mon Susan, you’re going to be alright. Please try to calm down, now. There’s a ditch nearby. Let’s all get out of the RV. And lie down inside the ditch. Come on, you all, wake up. We must all go for cover. Threatening weather is on the way.”
Jus after everyone was awake, as scared as they all were, every one of them crawled out of the RV and into the nearby ditch. And as they were, Andy carried a portable, waterproof radio with him to keep track of the weather.
And once, they all were down in the ditch, they all, simply, pulled this big blue plastic blanket over their heads, and tried to stay calm. However no tornado storms developed, and for the next hour, it jus rained like cats and dogs along with some hail.
And when the stormy weather was over, they all jus, carefully, got out of the ditch, and then, walked back inside the RV, where they all went back to sleep except for Andy. Since, someone has to drive the RV to the cottage in Fenton, he got into the driver’s seat while the rest jus lay down where they were before the severe weather hit.
Andy is in deep thought as he’s driving the RV, “Oh now, I, almost, forgot, I’d better slow down as the radar is going off. So, there must be cops or even the state police close by in the vicinity. Don’t want to take any chances of being stopped for speeding. Don’t, really, trust the fuzz as me, Mike, Cher Bear, and Susan is traveling in the RV.”
How traffic went during their trip, would determine when they all would arrive in Fenton.
So, Andy kept following the highway while listening to the radio, and some pleasant music, although, the storm warnings and rain were over with for the rest of the day and night. And while on the highway, he has been lucky not to run into a lot of traffic, although, there’s a lot traffic coming the other way on the highway.
Mike seemed to get a bit restless while inside the RV. So, he said, “While we all are sitting back here, I’m having this funny feeling, that Andy isn’t jus driving up there in front of the RV. He jus could be trying to stir up some suspicion in his mind, although, Cher Bear and I aren’t trying anything out of line.”
So, Susan said to Mike and Cher Bear, “Maybe, jus to be safe, I should go up front, and sit right next to Andy, jus in case, he’s trying to be up to something while driving. Who knows what may be on his mind.”
Then, as Susan sat down in the front seat near Andy, and tried to get comfortable, Andy jus happened to feel the RV shake a little. And upon him, jus happening to look beside him, he, suddenly, noticed Susan, sitting next to him.
So, Andy said to her, “No wonder the RV was shaking like this. What are you doing up here, Susan? You shouldn’t attempt to move from your seat while the RV is moving. If I jus happen to stop, suddenly, you could get thrown forward, or jus fall down inside the RV and hurt yourself. Don’t ever attempt to do this again while we’re moving like this. I don’t want to have to interrupt our trip, and have to take you to the emergency room.”
Susan said back to Andy, “However you’re jus cruising down the highway. You aren’t even going the speed limit at this time.”
“That’s because I had to slow down being that I could feel the RV wasn’t in balance with the highway. I jus, somehow, knew that one of you were out of your seats us now. Now, are you going to stay in your seat in front until we reach Fenton? If you aren’t, then, I’m going to have to stay at a slow pace.”
“Okay, Andy, I won’t attempt to move again from my seat. And jus before I came up, here, I’ve been having this funny feeling that your mind has been working overtime, lately. What in the world, is on your mind? You’re not going to pull something on any one of us, are you?”
He didn’t respond with an answer. Instead, he jus has this weird look on his face. In fact, Susan can see that he’s, actually, starting to laugh mockingly.
While he, still, is laughing, Susan can see that he’s pulling into an exit. However he didn’t tell anyone, that he’s planning to stop on the way to their destination.
Except for Andy and Susan, the others are jus, briefly, awake as Andy pulled into the park parking lot. So, Mike said to Cher Bear, “Here’s a rest stop. Do you need to get out stretching your legs? Or do you; feel like taking a walk right now?”
Cher Bear replied, “No, I don’t think so because the way, the skies are looking right now. They’re not, really, threatening. It’s jus that because it’s so cloudy outside. That I’ll jus wait inside the RV. If I have to stop and go see Mary, I’ll use the john inside this thing.”
“Okay, then, I’ll wait here with you. It’s jus that I have this funny feeling, that something might happen to you if I leave you, here, alone.”
Jus as Andy got off on the exit jus before Grange Hall Road which is a winding road which is the actual exit for the way to the cottage, suddenly, there are a bunch of sighs, coming from the back of the van. And this is because he jus pulled into a rest stop parking lot, and there are woods nearby along with a building.
Since, the others didn’t catch what’s going on being they’re all sleepy; only, Susan and Andy get out of the RV. And then, after they are out of the RV, the others got the impression, that they had to get out to stretch their legs jus before they fell asleep, again.
Mike is dreaming that Andy and Susan are lying in this huge bed. And at the same time, he’s saying to himself, “Boy, what are Andy and Susan up to? Here, Cher Bear and I have sneaked into their bedroom. And those two are kissing like wildfire.”
So, seeing that no one else got out of the RV, although, Andy knows, that Cher Bear and Mike noticed, that he stopped inside the park, he and Susan took each other’s hand. Then, the two started walking and followed this trail into the woods a bit. However they didn’t want to go too far into the woods being jus in case an emergency came up with either Mike or Cher Bear. So, he made sure, he has his cell phone on him, jus in case.
Mike is, still, dreaming of him and Cher Bear sneaking in on Andy and Susan’s lovemaking while Andy and Susan are in the woods, yet.
As Andy and Susan arrived near this huge tree, the two decided to lie down in the bed of leaves for a few minutes. And as they lay down, suddenly, Andy got overcome by this temptation.
He’s in deep thought with Susan beside him on the bed of leaves, “Boy, can’t believe, I jus gave into it, this weird temptation. It has, literally, overcome me. Now, I’m leaning over Susan. And our lips are meeting each other in a way, they’ve never done before.” Then, before Susan realized what is going on, she’s feeling as if this odd sensation of burning desire is going through her.
So, out of the blue, she found herself, giving into desire. And before she knew it, her lips met his. And then, Andy is having this sexy look in his eyes. He, literally, has found himself, placing his hand on her breasts. To him, this is causing all this fire. And her body seems to be responding, fully, to his ever so tender touch.
However jus then, before they went any further, he looked at his watch. He jus realizes, they have been inside the woods for a half hour, at least. So, he, suddenly, pulls back his hand. And he grabs her hand, lifting her to her feet.
However she’s feeling like all that desire inside her is, suddenly, gone. And she’s in tears, although, Andy doesn’t realize it, as at this time, she’s not walking beside him. The two are no longer holding hands.
As the two, finally, find themselves out of the woods, they are hoping, that neither Cher Bear nor did Mike suspect them of doing anything silly in the woods.
As the two reached the RV, Andy whispered to Susan, “I can’t believe, that our desire came as quickly as it left us. What’s happening to us? I hope we’re not losing our feelings of affection for each other.”
The others might be suspecting that they have been up to no good in the woods. However as they enter the RV, Andy, simply, said to Mike, “Don’t know why you two didn’t take the opportunity to take a walk in the woods. We took a long walk and it jus felt so refreshing out in that woodsy air.”
Being his brother and Cher Bear jus woke up upon Andy and Susan getting into the RV, they, still, were half asleep. So, Mike said to Andy and Susan, “We didn’t want to get lost in the woods. And because Cher Bear is prone to seizures, although, I wanted to stretch my legs, I couldn’t because I didn’t want to leave her, alone, inside the RV. She was, still, asleep when I awoke, and I’m sure she’s alright because it’s her nature to be quiet during any trip.”
However Andy walked over to her, and took her pulse. It felt normal, so, he felt her skin, and sure enough, she has a strong pulse. Also, she’s not the least bit pale-looking either.
So, Andy said to Mike, “Don’t worry about Cher Bear. I can tell that she’s not prone to any seizures, today. Her pulse seems to be normal. And she appears sleepy, however that’s nothing to worry about. However keep a good eye on her, because sleepiness, usually, follows a seizure which hasn’t been noticed. However I’m sure, Cher Bear is okay. Cher Bear, tell me, how you’re feeling right now.”
“I’m feeling like my usual self, although, I’m not sure if I passed out while you two were in the woods jus now.”
“Are you feeling lightheaded or like you’ve had an aura, recently?”
“No, in fact, not that I’ve been aware of. I’m jus somewhat sleepy from the long trip, and being that I didn’t sleep through the night. I had this nightmare, last night, which scared me out of my sleep. However, I’m sure, I’m okay. You and jus go sit down in front, so, that we can get to Fenton before the traffic gets real heavy.”
So, then, Andy walked to the front where Susan is waiting to get going to Fenton before it starts getting dark outside. And as he did and sat down in the driver’s seat, Susan has this notion to remark about what they did in the woods, however she dismissed it from her mind.
Then, Andy turned the ignition, and made sure, all have their seat belts on before he took off. And as he did, he, really, gunned the engine, and Susan said to Andy, “Boy, what are you trying to do? Do you realize that with your crazy driving, we, almost, ended up inside a ditch?”
“That’s the last thing, that’s going to happen. Jus enjoy the rest of the trip. We’ll be in Fenton, in no time at all. It’s jus that I enjoy, living on the edge.”
“Well, don’t put us through it. We want this trip to be the best; we’ve had in a long time,” said Susan. Mike, Cher Bear and Susan thought, they were going to end up in a ditch as Andy pulled the RV onto the highway, again.
And since, this is, also, hunting season, Andy and Mike have their rifles with him, jus in case, they decided to do some hunting. However if they did, they wouldn’t have to worry about Cher Bear being over at the cottage alone. So, being she has epilepsy, although she’s on medication for it and it’s under control, they, still, didn’t want to leave her there alone. So, the guys decided to do it another time when Cher Bear wasn’t with them being that there wouldn’t be anyone around to watch her jus in case she had an unexplained
Seizure or other emergency came up.
About a half hour later, Mike and Cher Bear jus lay there, watching some television. However, Susan and Andy sneaked out the RV while the other two were, still, absorbed in the television.
And as they did, Susan said to Andy, “Are you sure this is the right thing to do,” as they were standing outside the RV, “those two might get suspicious any time, and spy on us, you know.”
“Don’t worry, my darling, they all are so absorbed in television, that they’ll never know where we are. And if they suspect where we are, there’s nothing they can do to stop us from whatever we decided to do out here. And if you know my brother, and Cher Bear. The two are very shy, and won’t even go outside the RV out in the country, here.”
Since, Susan is wearing a sundress, a yellow one, she jus realized, that Andy is staring at her breasts. So, she could feel a fire stirring up inside her. So, she said to Andy, “What in the world are you doing? Did you know that whenever you stare at me, that way, that it’s hard for me to control myself?’
“Of course, I do, my darling. That’s what I want to do. I want to catch you off guard, so, that wanting for my body, will be there with you, later on during the night when we sleep in a double bed together.”
“I don’t think that Mike or Cher Bear is going to appreciate us, doing that. You’d better think twice before even thinking about sleeping with me, tonight or any night while we are gone for that matter. If you want to sleep with me, we’d better do it at the hotel, although, it’s expensive for one night.”
So, then, Andy and Susan walked over to the nearest ditch, and then, walked inside it, however, the ditch is quite wet from water, lingering inside the ditch due to the storms which were going by earlier.
Then, Susan said to Andy, “You must be kidding about doing anything with me inside this ditch as this water, feels very cold around my legs.”
Andy replied, “However that’s what is so sexy about the whole thing. And where else are we going to get crazy with each other. We, certainly, don’t want to lie on some seats inside the RV, and have either Mike or Cher Bear watching us, do we, my dear?”
“Okay, however let’s hurry up, and do whatever you have in mind because I’m going to freeze to death, here, if we don’t get going doing our crazy stuff.”
So, then, while the two were jus about to get intimate in some way with each other, Mike jus happened to notice, that the RV wasn’t moving at this time. So, he turned quite suspicious, and said to Cher Bear, “Jus realized that this RV doesn’t seem to be going anywhere right now, and neither Susan nor Andy are inside the front of the RV either.”
Then, Cher Bear said to him, “This kind of strikes me funny too. I bet you, that the two are up to something, somewhere nearby the RV. Why else would Andy stop the RV, again, and the two of them get out of this RV?”
“Yes,” said Mike, “I thought that they were so anxious to get to Fenton before dusk came around. Where do you think, they could be hiding at this time?”
Upon looking out the windows, Mike said to Cher Bear, “I, surely, don’t see them anywhere around the RV, and there doesn’t seem to be any park in sight. In fact, there couldn’t be, since, we jus stopped at a park about a half hour ago. And the parks, usually, aren’t this close together either.”
So, Cher Bear said to Mike, “Since, they aren’t around, let’s get into some hanky panky. I have a feeling that they, probably, won’t be back to the RV for a little while. Let’s go in back of the RV, and lie down together in one of those beds back there.”
Then, both Cher Bear and Mike got out of the RV, and checked around the whole trailer jus to make sure, that Susan and Andy weren’t around to catch them together in back of the RV. And neither Mike and Cher Bear could see either Andy or Susan around outside anywhere near the RV. So, then, the two hopped back inside the trailer, and walked to the back of the RV, and lay down in one of these beds back there.
As soon as they got comfortable, jus in case, either Andy or Susan hopped inside the RV, they both buried themselves underneath some covers. And that bed, they both were inside of has such an old mattress on it, which it sank down in the middle as they lay on it.
While there, they didn’t say one word to each other; however Cher Bear is in deep thought, “While I am laying on top of him, here, I can’t believe, the closeness, I’m feeling and enjoying. Boy, the fire jus seems to be burning inside me. Can sense, that Mike has this special yearning for my body.”
In the meantime, both Andy and Susan, still, were inside the ditch near the side of the highway. Then, Susan said to him, “Boy, I’m surely, starting to feel this shiver, taking over my body. Can feel the water, penetrating me inside. So, neither of us will end up, catching a death of a cold. Must snuggle against you, using my body warmth.”
They wouldn’t lie down inside the ditch because of all that water around them. As the two were crawling up out of the water, Susan said to Andy, “Let’s be sure to be very cautious as to not get caught by either Cher Bear or Mike.”
Little did they know, that neither Cher Bear nor Mike even knew, that Andy and Susan were near the edge of the ditch. They jus were too busy, enjoying lying on top of each other on the sunken mattress inside the RV.
Then, Andy said to Susan, “Boy, we, really, are getting into some kissing, and feeling each other all over. However we must stop right now. There’s a roar of thunder overhead. Did you hear that, Susan? It’s sounding very spooky. I guess we won’t get into our state of intimacy, at least, not now.”
They got out of the ditch, and upon Andy noticing, that neither Cher Bear nor Mike were in sight inside the RV, Andy and Susan sneaked over to the trailer. As Andy peaked inside the RV to see what Mike and Cher Bear were up to, upon not seeing either one inside it, Andy, then, slowly, crawled into the driver’s seat. And Susan crawled into the front seat of the RV.
However jus before leaving for Fenton, again, Andy peaked into the rear view mirror, and jus happened to notice the covers, moving on one of the beds, so, he said to Susan, “Guess what? Mike was the one, who didn’t want us, getting into hanky panky, and I can see right through the covers with my binoculars,” he said whispering to Susan as he picked up his binoculars, and
Peaked back at the beds.
Also, he said, “If you peak through these, you’ll notice, that both Cher Bear and Mike are throwing the covers off of them. I don’t think they realize that we jus got back inside the RV.”
So, then, Andy started up the ignition, and gunned the accelerator so hard, that the RV, actually, started taking off with a jerk. And as it shook the whole trailer, he was snickering as both Mike and Cher Bear were trying to sit up in the bed. And as they were, Cher Bear fell back onto the bed, and Mike ended up, falling on his butt.
As he did, he murmured to himself, “Oh, my butt that, really, hurts. I can’t believe I’ve jus landed on the floor of the RV. I wonder what’s going on. Why is the trailer shaking like this?”
As he’s mumbling, he overheard Andy and Susan, laughing so hard, that their laughs, actually, were creating this weird echo throughout the whole RV.
Then, all of a sudden, Mike said to Cher Bear, “You know something, my dear? I, finally, figured out why this darn RV jus started shaking like this. I bet that both Andy and Susan jus sneaked back inside it, and that Andy jus gunned the engine very hard. He’s the culprit, who caused me to fall on my butt now.”
As Andy and Susan overheard Mike, talking to Cher Bear jus now, they both started snickering, and then, suddenly, they quieted down.
Not knowing, definitely, if Andy and Susan were both inside the RV, Mike jus happened to look out one of the windows after he and Cher Bear, somehow, managed to get over to two of the seats on one of the sides of the RV, and belted themselves down. As he did, only, he noticed, that the RV was moving again, so, now he knew, that both Andy and Susan were back inside the RV.
Mike has no idea what either Susan or Andy were up to outside the trailer, however he could sense, that those two had gotten out of the trailer jus so they could have a little bit of time to themselves. However he has no idea that Andy and Susan had been inside one of the ditches near the side of the highway jus being up to no good.
Before either Mike or Cher Bear realized it, dusk is coming in, and Andy is jus pulling the RV into the stony driveway jus off a dirt road; as he is, he said to Susan, “Boy, that was some trip, we had to the cottage, wasn’t it?”
Then, as they all were getting out of the RV, they all were too lazy to unpack the RV, and bring some of their stuff into the cottage. Since, the trip to the cottage took somewhat longer than usual, jus because Andy had stopped the RV at a park, and also, near a ditch, jus so they could have a little time by themselves, it started getting too dark to unpack very much.
So, they all jus took out what they needed for the night, and the next morning, and followed each other inside the cottage which, actually, is a tri-level cottage, having been painted white. And since, Andy has sole ownership of the cottage, he, always, seems to be the most privileged when it comes to picking out the activities.
Jus after all were inside the cottage, and were ready for some relaxation after that long trip in the RV, Andy said to everyone, “Hey, look at that moonlight. There’s, actually, a full moon, tonight, in the skies. If you all look, very carefully, into the night, the full moon seems to be lighting up the skies. Now, all of you follow me down the steps, and I’ll take you all for a boat ride in my speedboat.”
Since, they all were too tired to do anything much that night, they all jus followed Andy down all the steps to the lake. And once they all reached the lake, since, Andy has a blue and white speedboat, and the moonlight seemed to be very bright, that night, everyone hopped into the speedboat.
Once, everyone was inside the speedboat, and had their lifejackets on, securely, the boat seemed to pick up speed, quickly, jus after Andy started the boat. And since, the lake seemed so peaceful, that night, and there weren’t any boats on the water either at that time of night, Andy jus sped throughout the water.
Being the speedboat is moving with great speed, Mike yelled out, “Hey, Andy, why don’t you slow down the boat a bit? I don’t know about everyone else. However you seem to be going too fast for me. And can’t stand your crazy driving tonight.”
Because of the way, Andy is driving the speedboat, everyone, literally, is letting out screams. And Mike is thinking, “Boy, the boat jus seems to be flying by all the houses and cottages on the lake. Also, the only waves in the lake are the waves that are bouncing up onto the speedboat being created by the swiftness of the speedboat.”
By the time, Andy pulled his boat up in front of the cottage, it’s so dark outside, that the full moon seems to be shining brightly, lighting up the whole sky. So, as everyone got out of the boat, Andy helped Susan out of the boat because she seemed quite shaky from the boat ride.
Susan said to Andy as they were walking up the steps, “Boy, you, really, drove that speedboat fast enough. I’m, literally, shaking inside from the boat ride. Hope you are good at calming me down, tonight.”
After everyone was out of the boat, they all, slowly, walked up all the stairs to the cottage. And as all of them walked inside the cottage, no one wanted to stay up much longer being that it, already, is getting very late at night.
However, being Andy gets first choice of a bed to sleep in, he picked the one, upstairs which has a boob pillow on it to support his neck while sleeping. So, while Mike and Cher Bear have to sleep on one of the couch beds on the first floor, Susan picked the other room upstairs which, also, has a fan inside it. And so does Andy’s room.
And soon everyone was fast asleep, however, as usual, Susan happened to have a very frightening nightmare into the wee morning hours. And because she couldn’t stand sleeping alone after having one, she walked into Andy’s bedroom, and crawled into the bed with him. And as she arrived in his bedroom, she sounded desperate, “My, my, my, Andy, that is some nightmare, I jus had.”
Then, he said to her half asleep, “Come on in and crawl in bed with me. I’ll calm you down in no time at all.” And since, he could sense her being in his bedroom, although, he’s in a middle of a dream about making love to Susan, he, then, pulled her over on top of him. And as he did, she calmed down, and she stayed on his double bed for the rest of the morning until the two happened to wake up in the morning.
In the meantime, since, neither Susan nor Andy were sleeping downstairs, neither Cher Bear nor Mike liked sleeping on a hard couch bed. So, then, Mike and Cher Bear awoke during the late hours of the night. As Cher Bear got up out of the other couch bed, she said to Mike, “Boy, Mike, I can’t seem to sleep on that couch bed. It feels like it’s as hard as a rock. Move over, I’m going to join you.” And then, Cher Bear crawled into bed with Mike after Mike got a mattress from the RV. And as he came inside the cottage, again, he and Cher Bear slept on it on one of the couch beds until they both woke up in the morning.
Since, Cher Bear happened to be the first one to wake up, when she woke up, she wasn’t, fully, awake. So, without anyone knowing about it, she started sleepwalking out the back door of the cottage, and as she arrived outside, even the slight chill in the air didn’t wake her up. So, she continued sleepwalking, and did so into the woods nearby.
After Mike woke up in the morning, he turned shocked not to see Cher Bear, lying on the mattress with him. And he checked the whole first floor, and still, couldn’t find the whereabouts of her. So, then, both Susan and Andy happened to come down the stairs of the cottage, and upon hearing them, walking down the stairs, Mike walked up to them, and asked both of them.
“Have either of you seen Cher Bear upstairs at all, last night or this morning? Because she wasn’t downstairs when I woke up jus now. And I have no idea where she could be because I didn’t even hear her; get up in the middle of the night which she, probably, could have done.”
“First, I have to ask you, what is the mattress doing inside the cottage? That mattress is supposed to stay outside in the RV.”
“I had to bring the mattress inside, because I couldn’t sleep on the couch bed,” not mentioning, that Cher Bear had been sleeping on it with him.
“Okay, I understand why you couldn’t sleep on any of the couch beds, last night. However one of us have to call the police in this area because Cher Bear could be anywhere around this cottage. Or she even could have wandered off into the woods. And if she did, it’ll be hard for the police to find her whereabouts. So, you, Mike, start getting breakfast ready, like the toast and eggs, and I’ll make a phone call.”
So, while Mike’s getting the breakfast, Andy got his cell phone from upstairs, and as he came back downstairs, again, he said to Mike, “Are you sure, you didn’t hear her, leave the cottage during the night or early morning?”
“No, I didn’t, Andy. If I did, I would have awakened, right away, and started searching for Cher Bear. I jus hope, she didn’t have any seizure, and then, start sleepwalking out one of the doors, last night or this morning.”
As Susan helped Mike with the breakfast, then, Andy got a hold of the police, and as the Captain answered the phone, Andy said to him, “Hello, we have a big problem, here, over on Hall Street. And I am calling from a cottage right on Runyan Lake. There’s a young woman, twenty-three years old with long brown hair, and a tall build, missing since, early this morning. None of us here at the cottage, have any idea, where she might have gone, and the only thing, we can come up with, is that she could have had a seizure.”
Then, the Captain said to him, “Are you sure, she had a seizure, or are you jus assuming, that’s what happened to her?”
“All I can say, is that if she did, she, probably, went sleepwalking out the door, and, since, she never knows where she’s going when she’s sleepwalking, she could have either taken off into the woods, here. Or she could have walked down the stairs to the lake, and possibly, have drowned in the lake.”
Then, after talking with the Captain, Andy said to Susan and Mike, “I’ll have to run over to the police station, and file a missing person’s report on Cher Bear. Since, the skies look threatening; don’t attempt to even go outside for that matter, or even attempt to go swimming because jus going outside can be very dangerous when near the lake.”
Then, Susan remarked, “I’m, really, getting scared, and don’t know what to do. I jus hope, that she’s alright, wherever she is.”
Then, Andy continued, “Thunderstorms can be very threatening at a lake, so, jus eat your breakfast. And I grabbed an energy bar and some coffee, already, so don’t worry about me. If the phone rings, be sure to answer it, because it could be one of the police, who are looking for Cher Bear. And don’t answer the door while I’m gone unless one of you looks through the peek hole, and a guy in a cop uniform comes to the door. I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
So, then, as Andy grabbed another cup of coffee out of the cottage, he walked out the front door, and into the RV. Being that the roads close to the cottage were dirt roads, he didn’t speed off like he, usually, does. He’s worried about Cher Bear, however he has to take his time, so, he doesn’t lose traction on the dirt roads on the way to the police station.
Once, Andy reached the police station, he walked right inside the building, and went, directly, to the Captain. Once, seated down beside him, he gave the Captain, what information, he could on Cher Bear, and from that, the Captain filed a missing person’s report.
So, Andy said to him, “What I can tell you are that Cher Bear has a tendency to sleepwalk, occasionally, during the night. And this I, only, found out, lately, being that she lives with her parents. And neither Mike, nor I have seen the way, she acts after a seizure. In fact, all the time either my brother or I have known her, about three years; she never has had a seizure over at the house where my brother and I live.”
“Well, what happens when she’s sleepwalking? Does she see her aura at that time?” “
Whenever she, usually, feels like she’s having an aura, she never takes any chance to walk down the street to see my brother, Mike, although, the two are close friends. And as long as I’ve known her, myself, I never have seen her, have a seizure. So, I’m not certain if she even had a seizure while at the cottage at all. However I do know that there are pretty well under control.”
Jus as Andy is talking the Captain, his phone ring, so, as he answered the phone, he said to Andy, “Well, apparently, one of the police has found her in the woods near your cottage. And at this time,
“Oh no, that could be bad. Are you sure, she’s in a coma right now?”
“It’s jus that she seems to be out of it, which means she’s been found to be in a coma. So, you and your friends can come to the hospital where she’s being taken, and don’t worry about anything. She, probably, has had a seizure, and the cop could be wrong about her being in a coma. She may jus be unresponsive jus because she had a seizure, and could be in a deep sleep. So, you know where it’s located, don’t you?”
“Yes, I do, Captain, because there’s been other times in which we have had to see someone there at the hospital.”
At the same time, this is on Andy’s mind, “In fact, jus this last fall during the hunting season, and my brother got shot while hunting down deer with me. And I called an ambulance, and he got there jus in time because he had been bleeding profusely at the time. And through emergency surgery, that is a bypass, the surgeons were able to stop the bleeding, and save his life. However that one was a close call being that the surgeons had to race through the emergency surgery to save your brother’s life. And it had been pure luck, that he had survived the surgery.”
“Okay,” said the Captain, “You and your brother and Susan are the only ones who can be allowed to see her now. Hope everything goes good for Cher Bear because like I said, she could have slipped into a coma. Now, go back to your cottage, and pick up Cher Bear and Mike and Susan, and then, go right to the hospital which isn’t far from here. Get there as soon as you can because in her condition, it’s possible that she could be in a life and death situation right now.”
So, then, Andy ran into the RV close to tears, and, actually, sped down the streets until he reached the dirt roads. When he did, he slowed down, and when he arrived at the cottage a few minutes later, he ran into the cottage.
Then, he said to Susan and Mike, who were watching television when he got back to the cottage with teary eyes, “Well, at least, one of the cops called over at the police station. And he jus called when I was there jus now. However brace yourselves for this, especially, you, Mike, because one of the cops did find Cher Bear out in the woods, here. However the one, who found her jus now, doesn’t know if she’s jus unresponsive, or if she, actually, is in a coma. He suspects that she could have had a seizure while in the woods.”
“Well,” said Mike and Susan, close to tears, “Can we come with you now to see her?”
“That’s what I’m here to tell you two. Only family can come to see her, however since, the Captain knows you, Susan, from when Mike got shot, last fall, you can come with me. Okay, let’s all move quickly. We’d better get there at the hospital as soon as we can. She could be in a life and death situation right now.”
So, staying very quiet but close to tears, both Susan and Mike hopped into the RV with Andy. And he drove them all to the hospital, and once, they all arrived there, they all ran into the hospital and over to the emergency department.
As they arrived there, Andy said to the woman at the desk, “We all are here to see Cher Bear Pauley. Please tell us what room, she’s in. The cop told us, that we all are allowed to see her, even Susan, who’s a good friend of mine.”
“Okay,” said the woman at the desk, “Take this hall all the way down, and follow the red arrow until you reach the first room. She’s in there right now. Her condition is very critical at this time. You all might not be allowed to see her very long because she’s so bad. However I’ll pray for Cher Bear for you.”
So, then, Andy along with Susan and Mike all were close to tears by now as they reached the room where Cher Bear is lying on a bed. And right now, she’s jus lying there like she’s unaware of what’s going on around her. However they all jus walked up to her, and although, there were tears, rolling down Mike’s cheeks; he took Cher Bear by the hand.
Then, he said to Cher Bear, “Oh, my dear, Cher Bear, I hope, you can hear me. I am very concerned for your well-being right now. I had no idea, that you even had any seizure, last night. I must have slept very soundly, being that, usually, when you’ve had a seizure around me in the past at night during the nights, we slept together, it, usually, got me out of my sleep.”
As he talked to her, she seemed to move a little, and she even opened her eyes. However, Mike didn’t know if she’s sleeping, or, actually, in a coma. However, the way she opened and closed her eyes, was a definite sign, that she jus responded to Mike. Also, the minute, Mike took her hand, her arm and hand moved. So, at least, Mike knew that she wasn’t in a coma right now.
Then, Mike said to her, “My dear woman, if you can hear me, nods your head.”
So, then, Cher Bear nodded her head, and this made Mike respond with a wry smile on his face.
Then, he said to her, “Cher Bear, now, I want you to say something to me if you can. If you can’t talk right now, don’t force yourself. You’re, probably, in a daze at this time, and I can understand that because you had a seizure, last night, and then, probably, had another one while being at the hospital.”
As soon as he talked to her, again, she opened her eyes, and although, she couldn’t talk very much right now, she said to him. “I’m glad you’re here with me, and also, you, Mike and Susan because I think, I might have seen an aura, last night, jus after I had my nightmare.”
At that, a nurse walked into the room, and then, having overheard what Cher Bear has been saying to Mike, she then, said to her, “Can you, by chance, remember seeing any aura jus before you woke up? I’ve got to know because if you did, I’ve got to administer more seizure medication through your IV.”
“Yes, nurse, I can remember one, very plainly. In fact, right after the aura, itself, I could hear Mike, talking to me; however I couldn’t respond to him right away as he and his brother, Andy and Susan walked into this room.”
“Okay, Andy and Susan and Mike, you all must leave the room for now. She has to get some rest being she jus is recovering from being in a daze. As far as we know, she’s been in one, ever since, the cop found her, lying in the woods.”
As they all left the room, Cher Bear, then, said to the nurse,” However I can’t seem to remember what the nightmare was all about. All I can remember is that the nightmare came upon me like pieces of a puzzle which didn’t quite fit together as far as coming to me as something, I can make out. But I can, at least, remember this much. After I had awakened from this nightmare, I can remember seeing a tree with no leaves on it with darkness all around it.”
“Okay, now, Cher Bear, that’s enough talking for now. You need some sleep, badly, to help you, recover from your seizures and daze. And I jus administered some potent medicine down your IV. So, it’s going to knock you out, shortly. And don’t try to fight the sleep. This deep sleep is an important part of your recovery.”
So, as soon as the nurse administered some Dilantin along with some Phenol barbital and Ativan, Cher Bear took a few sips of her water. And in no time at all, she’s fast asleep.
Then, all her friends, Mike, Andy and Susan, finally, had to leave Cher Bear being that she’s asleep. Also, she has to stay under observation for the rest of the day and through the night too, partly, to catch up on her sleep. And while she’s sleeping, the medication will be able to take fast effect on her.
And jus before leaving her room, Mike left this note for Cher Bear for when she woke up, again, to make her, feel good inside, and to let her know, that he’s waiting, patiently, for her to get well.
And the note read, “My dear Cher Bear, I’ve been having you on my mind, ever since, I woke up this morning, and found out you were missing. You, really, scared me at first. I thought that, maybe, you were dead until I heard word from the Captain, that you were jus in a daze, not a coma like I, first, heard. I guess that an angel must have been looking over you. Please get better fast so, that you can join me for vacation. Your love, Mike.”
So, in the meantime, Andy along with Susan and Mike were on their way in the RV on their way back to the cottage.
Being that Andy was the only one who wanted to go down to the lake for a boat ride, he grabbed some lunch with Susan and Mike. Then, in the middle of the evening, he walked down all those stairs, taking his time, so; he wouldn’t lose his grip on the steps. And as he reached the bottom of the steps, Mike happened to look out one of the back windows, and noticing he wasn’t in sight, then, said to Susan.
“Hey, Susan, why don’t you come with me to the living room, and there, we can relax, and watch a movie while Andy is going off in his boat. Or did you change your mind, and want to go with him?”
“I, really, don’t feel like going on a boat ride or even swimming for that matter. I would go swimming; however the skies are appearing to be threatening, again. And I don’t want to take any chance of getting hit by lightening, or slipping down the steps as it is starting to look like rain.”
“How does this sound, my dear. One of the couch beds, still, is open. Let’s lie down on that one, and relax and enjoy a movie.”
Although, Mike has something else on his mind, she didn’t know it at the time, so, she said to him, “That sounds like a good idea. By the way, we should keep a radio or television on during this kind of weather. You never know when a bad storm or even a tornado will come in from the lake out here.”
So, then, both Susan and Mike got comfortable on the couch bed closest to the television, and Mike jus happened to find a very interesting movie on television at this time. The two jus lay there, and got very absorbed in the movie; and while they were watching television, he took her hand which she didn’t seem to mind.
Then, about an hour later or so after the movie was over, then, the two were so tired from running around half the day, and being up, since, early morning, the two fell asleep right on the couch bed.
However an hour later, Susan happened to overhear Andy talking to himself as he’s walking back up the steps from his boat ride, and saying to himself, “Boy, that turned out to be some boat ride. Those waves, certainly, were rough out there on the lake. And out of those clouds, poured some heavy rain, enough to get me somewhat wet for a while there.”
Then, as he reached the top steps, Susan jus happened to see him, ready to come inside the cottage, so, she hopped off the couch bed. And as Andy walked inside, she, already, is on her way upstairs to go inside her room, and do some yoga along with, maybe, reading the book, she brought along with her.
In the meantime, Andy said to Mike as he walked over to him, lying on the couch bed, “I see that you’re jus about ready for bed. And if you want, you can sleep on the mattress again. However what have you been up to while I have been gone?”
“Well, Susan and I were lying on this couch bed, and watching a movie or two while we were getting fresh with each other. And after we got fresh with each other, we were feeling each other all over when you walked inside.”
“So, you and Susan have been up to no good. Wait until Cher Bear hears all about this. She isn’t going to like it too well.”
However Andy had no idea that Mike is lying to him about he and Susan having a heck of a night on the couch bed. So, upon him, walking up the stairs, he walked over to Susan’s room, and once inside, Andy said to her.
“What have you and Mike been up to tonight? He jus told me, that you two were doing a little more than watching television together. He told me that you two got fresh with each other, and then, were feeling each other all over. Well, I’ve found out enough from him. You don’t have to say one word. I know it all now.”
Susan is so choked up, that she can’t even say one word to Andy. It won’t do any good because she knows, that Andy jus believed what Mike told him about her and Mike, although, it wasn’t true. So, now, Mike could have jus ruined her relationship with Andy. He, probably, won’t even as much speak to her anymore.
So, then, Susan’s in deep thought, “Can’t believe that Andy, actually, believed what his own brother, told him about me and him being in that couch bed. Think he jus told his brother, a lie, jus because he has a liking to me. Well, although, it’ll, probably, kill Andy’s love for me, it won’t, in the least, make me turn to Mike for comfort, or even give into his liking for me.”
That night, Susan wasn’t the least bit surprised, that Andy ignored her, the rest of the night, and didn’t even offer or show his love for her in any way. In fact, he’s trying to best to bury it inside him, hoping that he can forget he ever loved her in the first place.
As Susan crawled into her bed, she’s in deep thought, again, “Don’t know what’s going to happen to my love for Andy now. It, probably, will fade away into the darkness. I’m feeling quite empty inside, as though, he never has been my lover to begin with. I’m not feeling any more desire for him, tonight, and I doubt whether he is anymore either like I was when Andy walked inside the cottage after his boat ride. Also, then, he had his usual lovely smile until Mike told him, that me and him were getting fresh with each other.”
Andy is trying to fall asleep himself, and can’t seem to get Susan off his mind. He’s feeling guilty inside for believing what Mike said to him, and he, really, is realizing, now, Mike likes Susan. However he doesn’t know, that Mike told him a lie about him and Susan being in the couch bed, doing anything else other than watching television.
Andy’s in deep thought, jus lying on his bed, in the late hours of the night, “Didn’t as miss kiss, Susan, goodnight. What I fool I’ve been tonight. Realize jus how much I love her, and all that desire I’ve been having for her. Badly, want to make love to her, however I can’t get myself to give into her, tonight, although, I know she wants to do it.”
Andy doesn’t realize that he didn’t make any effort to kiss Susan, good night. Neither did he offer to make love to her. And he, badly, wants to make love to Susan; however he can’t get himself to give into her. So, he doesn’t know that Susan is lying there in her bedroom in bed, awake, staring at the full moon, coming into her room. And the tears seem to keep welling up in her eyes, jus in her thinking about her love for Andy, and how much she’s missing his love.
She’s saying to herself like if she’s in a dreamlike state, “Boy, do I wish Andy was in bed with me right now. He’s, probably, mad at me and believed what Mike told him, tonight, and it’s one big white lie. Can’t believe Andy’s brother would pull such a thing on me.”
Susan is thinking about getting a job and moving out of the vicinity, and not see Andy any more, so, she can get him off her mind for good. Got to get him out of her life. Also, he’s, probably, already, falling out of love being he hasn’t spoke one word to her, since; he came inside from his boat ride.
“Maybe, I better take that job offer; I had, lately, to start writing articles for the news.”
The next morning, Mike, Andy, and Susan went in the RV to see Cher Bear, and by that time, she’s recovered enough to take her back to the cottage. And she jus had a complete physical jus before they all arrived back over at the hospital. And to the doctor, all her physical signs seem to be back to normal. So, as Andy picked up her discharge papers from the desk, the others waited inside the RV. And Cher Bear is glad to see Andy, again, because to her, he, always, has treated her like a blood sister.
So, an orderly took Cher Bear over to the RV in a wheelchair, since, it is a long walk over to the RV. And Andy jus followed the orderly and Cher Bear over to the RV. Once, Andy helped Cher Bear inside, he, then, eased her over to where one of the beds were, and said to Mike.
“Now, watch Cher Bear until we get back to the cottage. She needs a lot of rest, yet, and it would be nice if you could watch her for us for the day and into the night to make sure, she’s taking her medication. Also, we have to make sure, that her medication is working for her because she can’t afford to keep having seizures.”
Once, Andy arrived back over at the cottage, and pulled the RV into the driveway, Andy and Susan hopped out of the vehicle. However Mike stayed with Cher Bear, especially, being she appeared to be in a daze, again.
So, they all arrived inside the cottage, then, Mike led Cher Bear over to a couch bed. “Now, Cher Bear stay there in bed and get some rest. You need all the rest, you can get.”
And he has to watch her being if she doesn’t come out of her daze in a few hours, then, Andy or Mike has to call the hospital doctor to see what they should with her. However, although, Mike stayed at her side throughout the day into the night when the evening came around, she was acting unresponsive again. Mike couldn’t even get through to her, that she has to eat at regular intervals, at least, three meals a day, to keep up her strength.
Then, as Mike walked downstairs, and got Andy being that because he worked over at the clubhouse, a prerequisite for his job was to know how to do CPR, and take all the vital signs which he had a bag for doing so. However upon taking her pulse and blood pressure, both were quite low. So, he did a lot of CPR on her, and gave her, some dopamine, however it didn’t do a darn thing for her. About a half hour later, she coded, and as Andy took her pulse, again, her skin was cold, and she, definitely, has a pale look on her face.
In knowing that she’s dead, Andy, suddenly, has tears, rolling down his face, and his face is red as a beat. So, he couldn’t get himself to get either Mike or Susan at this time because he’s in deep thought, “Oh, my poor girl, I wonder if that daze, Mike told me about, really, meant she had been in a coma. It doesn’t matter now anymore because I’ve jus lost a good friend, and one who used to be like a blood sister to me.”
After a few minutes of crying it all out, he, finally, got him together. Then, he walked downstairs, and over to the kitchen, where Mike is starting to get lunch for Cher Bear. However upon seeing a sad look on Andy’s face, knew right away, that Cher Bear isn’t in the best state.
So, Mike stopped what he’s doing, and said to Andy, “It isn’t my Cher Bear, is it? I figured that something could be wrong when we picked her up from the hospital. Why didn’t her doctor tell me, or at least, one of the nurses, that she had been in bad shape? I’m going to sue the doctor and nurse, whoever took care of her why she was in the hospital. If they sensed something was wrong, why did they even let her be discharged? They couldn’t have been keeping a good eye on her while she had been there.”
Then, Andy is all choked up, so, immediately, Mike knew for sure that Cher Bear’s state isn’t good at all. So, as Andy burst into tears, he, still, led him upstairs to where she’s lying on Susan’s bed with her eyes closed. And as Andy and Mike approached her, Mike murmured to himself as he bent over her.
“My dear Cher Bear, why did this have to happen to you? Why did you leave me like this? My girl, I’m going to miss you, terribly, and don’t know what I’m going to do without you in my life now,” he said as he bent over her, and kissed her on the cheek. Then, as Susan had joined them upstairs because she had a feeling, that something was wrong, they all stood over her for what seemed like an hour, however had come to be only a few long minutes.
Then, they all jus knelt down beside the bed, and as Mike and Andy took her hand on one side of the bed, while Susan took her hand on the other side, they all jus wanted to pay their last respects to her. That’s, especially, because there isn’t a cemetery close enough to the cottage, or even a funeral home. So jus after they all were through with what they were doing, Andy walked over to his room, and closed the door while he called the mortuary closest to the cottage.
After her body got picked up, an hour later, she had been taken over to the mortuary, and an autopsy had been done on her which revealed all the medication which she had been on while in the hospital. And the autopsy report was revealed to Andy over the phone, that six medications had been found in her system along with an overdose of Morphine which she, always, has been allergic to. And the Morphine, alone, is what caused her not to be able to come out of her daze, and then, caused a coma which, evidently, killed her.
Mike’s so mad after what was revealed in the report that he murmured to himself, “That hospital, I wish she, Cher Bear, never was taken there in the first place. That darn doctor or nurse, whoever prescribed Morphine for her, I think had meant to kill her. That darn doctor I bet knew, she was allergic to Morphine, and intentionally, caused her death. I’m going to see, that the doctors who waited on her in the hospital, are sued for every penny, they have and lose their jobs there too.”
So, then, Mike couldn’t cope with not have Cher Bear in his life, and he, then, waited until Susan, and Andy had gone outside on a boat ride, and were out of the way. Then, the rifle which Mike brought with him for hunting, he got out of the drawer near where he has been sleeping on a couch bed. And then, he made sure, that the rife was loaded, and then, he shot himself to death.
While Andy and Susan are on their boat ride, inside her, Susan, still, has this yearning for Andy’s body, “Can’t seem to get him off my mind. And as he’s driving the boat, his arm is brushing against mine. And I think he’s doing it on purpose. He’s sitting so closely to me. That slight brushing seems to be making me, go wild, giving me, that burning desire for his body.”
However Susan doesn’t realize it, she’s resisting this desire. Because she, still, is mad at him for believing Mike’s white lie, it’s causing her to feel quite numb inside. So, she doesn’t know if it’s because his love for her if fading, or if he’s losing trust in her because he saw her lying with Mike on that couch bed, lately.
So, finally, after going around the lake for about a half hour, Andy pulled the boat into the dock, and to Susan’s surprise, he started to brush his chest against her as he got out of the boat. However he drew back, and then, as he followed Susan up the steps to the cottage again, she couldn’t figure out why he’s doing this to her.
She’s in deep thought, “What’s going on with Andy, lately? Is it because Cher Bear died, that he’s acting so strange around me? Or is it jus that he doesn’t’ seem to love me like he used to?”
So, she jus felt unsatisfied, and this wasn’t a good feeling to her at all.
As the two arrived up the steps, and as Andy arrived inside the cottage, he has a shocked look on his face, and is feeling all choked up inside. He can’t believe his eyes; Mike is jus lying there on his bed, however he doesn’t seem like he’s sleeping either. To Andy’s surprise, he knows, there’s something fishy about Mike at this time.
He, usually, isn’t sleeping on the couch bed at this time of day; also, Andy is acting like he’s seen a ghost. To Susan, as she followed him inside, his face is so pale, and he’s not acting like himself either. Also, he jus picked a gun up from on the couch bed, and as he checked the gun, it is, still, loaded with bullets.
To Susan, Andy said, “There’s something strange about Mike here. Here I find a loaded gun, lying next to him on this couch bed, and there is blood all over his shirt. I jus felt this pulse, and he’s, seemingly, stone dead. I hate to tell you this, Susan, however I think it was jus too much for him to see Cher Bear dead. It looks like he went ahead, and jus, purposely, shot himself to death with his hunting rifle.”
As he said all this to Susan, the cat has her tongue, and she can’t even say one word. She, literally, fell down on the carpet, and fainted. So, then, Andy leaned over her, and then, carried her upstairs to her bed. As he arrived there, he, gently, laid her on the bed, and then, he walked over to the bathroom, upstairs. And out of the bathroom, he retrieved a glass of cold water while Susan is starting to come to, again.
As he arrived inside her bedroom, she said to him, “What in the world happen to me jus now? First, I noticed you, looking as pale as a ghost, and finding Mike’s hunting rifle on his bed all covered with blood and his shirt too. And the next thing, I knew all the blood seemed to go out of my head. And here, I’m lying on my bed, feeling lightheaded and kind of funny inside. What do you think happened, Andy?”
“Well, I think it was that you couldn’t stand seeing the sight of blood for one thing. And it happened to be too much for you to see Mike, lying on that couch bed downstairs all covered with blood. Upon seeing him in that state, I thought I would end up on the floor too beside you. However it’s a good thing that I didn’t because I could have landed on top of you. Are you alright, my dear? You didn’t hurt yourself, did you, my dear?”
“No, I feel like I’m alright except I’m kind of shaken up from seeing Mike, the way he appears to be. It was jus too much for me to take; first, Cher Bear died, and then, we come back to the cottage from our boat ride, and find Mike, stone dead. It’s as if the devil planned it, this way.”
“Please don’t say that, my dear Susan. And don’t get silly, and try to commit suicide, yourself either. It’s bad enough that both Cher Bear and Mike died right at the cottage here. I don’t want to lose you, now, either. Are you having any thoughts of killing yourself, at all, right now, or planning to take your life, my dear?”
“No, Andy, don’t’ worry about me, I’ll be fine. It’s you that we have to worry about at this time. You, still, seem to be pale. Maybe, you’d better lay down on your bed for about an hour or so? I can take care of myself, Andy. I know that it’s quite shocking for both of us to have two people, which we both loved as sister and brother go before our very eyes. I don’t want anything to happen to you, now. Now, do you feel lightheaded or anything right now?”
“No, my dear, I’m quite able to cope with deaths of loved ones, and have had these coping skills for some time. Even when I had been younger, I’ve lost many hunting buddies, back then, being that I’ve been hunting for many years. So, I’m used to losing people, I, really, cared about or loved for that matter. It’s you I’m worried about because you jus fainted on the floor, downstairs.”
“I’ve become jus like you. I can handle any deaths of friends or loved ones, which come along, especially, Cher Bear’s and Mike’s death. I’m built very strong inside; jus remember that.”
“It’s going to be hard to rest right now because I have to get hold of the mortuary again, and do it quick before any of the neighbors happen to drop over. And I don’t want this to happen because if any of them do, they jus might call the police on us, and get the wrong impression, that one of us murdered Mike. So, as soon as I call the mortuary, I’ll lie down and get some rest.”
About an hour later, when she, finally, got out of her bed, and walked downstairs, Mike, finally, had been taken away to the mortuary. However the whole couch bed is missing, and so, then, Susan took a walk outside. And sure enough, Andy had taken the whole couch bed apart. And then, so, that there would be no evidence would be left of a suicide, Andy had taken the RV down to the city dumpster in the dark.
And upon walking back inside the cottage, she couldn’t figure out where Andy could be as she couldn’t seem to find him anywhere upstairs or downstairs for that matter. So, she mumbled to herself, “It isn’t like him to go anywhere without telling me where he’s going for that matter. And he doesn’t seem to be anywhere near the lake, and his boat isn’t missing.”
As she walked over to where the RV is at, she jus happened to feel cool air coming of the RV, so she thought, “I bet Andy is inside the RV. I’d better go inside and check on him because before he appeared to be quite pale-looking. I jus hope he’s alright because I would become hopeless without him in my life.”
So, then, Susan, slowly, opened the door on the side of the RV, and as she sneaked inside and closed the door, she walked through the RV. And as she approached where the beds were at, she jus happened to notice, at least, a case of beer near one of the beds. And she’s shocked to see him, lying on one of the beds with beer cans all over the floor of the RV.
As she walked up to him, she got the feeling inside her, that she should do something, immediately. She walked over to the cabinet where he keeps his instant coffee which he, usually, drinks while on a trip in the RV. And then, she walked over to him with a hot but not real strong cup of coffee in his favorite black Harley-Davidson mug, and gently, tried to get him to wake up.
Through tapping him on the arm, he woke up, and couldn’t even talk to her without mumbling, so, she knew right away that he’s as drunk as a skunk.
So, she said to him, “Come on, my honey, and please drink some coffee. I don’t know what you’ve been doing out here, or how long you’ve been out here. However you need some coffee in you to get the drunkenness out of you.” She didn’t care if the cops came, and took him away to jail because she was disgusted with his drinking at this point.
So, then, he drank the whole cup of coffee, black and without any resistance, allowed her to help him, sit up in bed. Then, because it is evening now, and it’s getting dark, she said to him.
“Well, I think, you’d better try to sleep for the rest of the night because it’s getting late. Don’t you move from here? I’ll stay with you inside the RV for the rest of the evening. Is there anything, you want me to get for you?”
“There’s only one thing, that I need right now.”
“And what May that be, honey?”
“You’re all I need. I need you in bed right beside me, all night long. I want you to sleep with me.”
“Are you serious? You’re not jus saying this because you’re drunk, are you now?”
“No, in fact, I don’t feel drunk after that coffee, you jus gave me. And never forget, that I love you and always will for that matter. There’s something I want to start discussing with you.”
“Are you sure you want to get serious jus after two of our loved ones have died inside that cottage of yours?”
“Remember this, my dear; there have been deaths in the family. However life has to go on. You jus can’t stop living jus because two people, you loved, dearly, have gone from your life. If you need to cry, then, let it all come out. Don’t hold anything back because it could cause you to have a setback what you, really, don’t need because you’ve spent most of your life, building up all that strength.”
“Now, what’s the very first thing, you have in need right now. By the expression on your face, I’m sure you want me to, at least, hold and kiss you. However don’t be surprised if I back off because I don’t know if you love me anymore. You must let me know right now, or I can’t go ahead and give into my feelings anymore.”
“Okay, do what you need to do, then, because Cher Bear and Mike have jus left us. So, first, sit down on the bed with me, and let’s have our own mourning ritual. We have to pray hard, especially, for Mike, so that those two will see Heaven, and not get caught between two worlds.”
“What’s important to me right now, is that, now, that I’m done praying for Mike and Cher Bear. Now, you must make the first move, because I, really, don’t know what you want anymore of me. After Mike told you, I was getting fresh with him in bed, do you believe that anymore, or are you going to listen to what I have to say?”
However, Andy wouldn’t answer her, nor would he take her by the hand. So, then, Susan jus figured, that he, still, believed what Mike had told him about her and him being together in the couch bed, that one day.
However, jus now, she noticed, that he look like he was sleeping, so, then, she jus tried to let it, slip her mind, that he wanted to get serious with her. In fact, he was faking it, that he wanted anything from her. So, then, she jus figured, he had been awake all night long, drinking, and that was the only thing, he cared about anymore. To her, it seemed like he had drawn into himself, so she thought as she went over to the other bed, and plopped herself onto it.
“I guess that Andy jus doesn’t seem to care for me anymore. And jus because Mike told him a lie about him and me, he doesn’t seem to act like it was a lie in the first place. In fact, I think that Andy thinks, now, that Mike and had something going between us. Andy can’t seem to get this out of his mind because he’s feeling distraught over his brother’s sudden death. And it seems like his brother’s death has turned into someone, who is not himself anymore. It has caused him to forget, that he ever loved or even cared for me at one time.”
Susan did manage to fall asleep about a couple hours later, however it turned out to be a fitful sleep. And she didn’t sleep well for the rest of the night or into the morning, either. In fact, she had a nightmare, that Andy’s brother, Mike, somehow, never was dead to begin with. And that in her dream, he sat up in the couch bed, which is missing in the cottage. And then, it, really, didn’t seem to be missing anymore because he came alive, and then, while Susan has been sleeping in her bed upstairs in the cottage, he walked up the stairs, and upon reaching her room, crawled into bed with her. So, that Andy would catch the two in bed again, and think that the two, really, had something going together.
However, as Andy saw her and Mike in bed together, she, suddenly, awoke, and jus realized, that Mike wasn’t in bed with her. She jus sat there right in the bed, trying to gain back her composure, and trying to convince herself, that Mike, still, is dead. As she noticed Andy wasn’t sleeping in the other bed, she got up out of the bed; she had been sleeping in all night long. And then, she jus happen to notice a bunch of beer cans, strewn all over the other bed besides the bed being in a big heap.
As she walked around outside the cottage, thinking that Andy was outside, somewhere, near the cottage, suddenly, she noticed, that he was walking down the steps, of course, with a can of beer in his right hand. And as she caught up with him, she kind of yelled out to him, “What in the world are you up to, this morning, Andy? Did you eat breakfast, this morning, yet?”
However he kept walking down the steps like he’s ignoring, or jus not aware, that she’s walking beside her. And she followed him until he reached the boat. So, when he, finally, stopped near the boat, seemingly, in a daze, or jus in his own world, only then, is he aware, that she’s standing on the dock with him.
Then, he has enough sense to put down his can of beer, however, he jus stared into her eyes, and then, jus brushed against her as he started walking towards the cottage, again. Jus in him, kind of rubbing himself against her, made her, feel this burning desire for him, however it remained unsatisfied because he didn’t even stop to as much as give her, a kiss, although, he did give her, this big hug. Jus after the hug, she said to him, hoping that he’s listening to her, “Now, Andy, are you alright this morning? You haven’t even said a word to me, yet. If something is bothering you, I want you to try to talk about it; the worse thing, you can do, is to keep your feelings inside you.”
Then, Andy, finally, jus stood there on the end of the dock, and he, actually, stared into her eyes lost for words at first. However as Susan attempted to place her arms around him, he didn’t try to resist her. Instead, he said to her with tears in his eyes which were rolling down his cheeks, “I don’t know what I’m going to do without my brother in my life. I jus loved him so much, and felt so close to him. It’s, as though, a piece of me is missing jus because Mike found it very hard to take Cher Bear’s death. And then, Mike ended up committing suicide jus so he could end everything, and then, get Cher Bear out of his life, the hard way.”
“Well, my dear,” as she took him by the hand, “C’mon now, let’s go get some breakfast, and then, what do you have in mind after breakfast?”
As the two were walking up the steps to cottage, together, he said to her, still, with that look of sadness in his eyes, “I know that I can’t bring my brother back into my life. So, I guess the best thing to do, is to have own ritual, and I must tell you, something. I want you to go with me, today, to pick up his ashes over at the mortuary, although, I know it could turn out to be a little ways from here.”
“What do you want to do after you pick up his urn, my Andy?”
“On the way there, I’ll try to think of something. Maybe the best thing would be to come back here, and then, we’ll go from there. I am thinking that I could pick up a special stone for my brother from the nursery. And then, bring it back here, and then, we could make a special garden or spot in the grass near the back porch of the cottage. When we come back here, I’ll allow you to pick out the spot, and when you find one, you, really, admire, I’ll set Mike’s hunting rifle on that spot.”
Andy couldn’t say another word because he was getting choked up inside, so, Andy and walked inside the cottage, and freshened up some. And after that, Susan got him and her, a fast breakfast, because right after that, they have to leave in the RV to pick up Mike’s urn.
So, right after they both were freshened up, as Andy walked into the dining room, she was jus putting breakfast on the table. And she’s very surprised, because his eyes were lighting up, and at first, she couldn’t figure out why because jus about a half hour earlier, his face had been all red from crying, and his eyes full of tears. However, somehow, he managed to put all his sorrow behind him, at least, for the time being. Then, the two sat down to eat some eggs and toast along with some coffee to wake them both up.
And then, the two ate as there seemed to be an eerie silence all around them, and at that time, Andy is in deep thought, “It seems like if Cher Bear and Mike are trying to reach both me and Susan, like the two haven’t gone to Heaven yet. And right now, are jus stuck between two worlds in a constant struggle to try to find their way to Heaven. It’s a very strange feeling to me jus because I and Susan, already, paid our last respects to them.”
However to them, it didn’t seem like it was enough; it seemed as if the two dreaded leaving both Susan and Andy in the first place. And were trying very hard to make sure, that they got the comfort, they needed all through their mourning process.
As soon as both Andy and Susan were done eating, Andy has a very strange look on his face right now; and for some strange reason, doesn’t look teary-eyed. However, although, he appeared to be very quiet, and lost for words, he wouldn’t say one world to Susan right now. And as she could sense this, she said to him.
“Now, Andy, please, doesn’t look so forlorn around me. I can understand, that it’s been very hard for you to take your brother’s death, and Cher Bear’s too, however you can’t stop living jus because your brother’s no longer in your life. You have to learn to do all you can for yourself to help yourself, get through the mourning process which may take awhile for you to get through. I’m having trouble, right now, putting up with their deaths too, however I’m not trying to throw my life down the drain. You, only, have one life to live; and must live it to your fullest. If you need some counseling, let me know, and I’ll do whatever I can to get it for you.”
So, he, finally, said to her on the way out the door and over to the RV, “I would like that very much if you could help me out of my sorrow. Right now, I, especially, need help getting over my drinking; it has gotten out of hand. And I’m sure that even through the way, I’ve been acting, that you can sense this in me. Also, I’m aware that when you awoke, this morning, that you couldn’t help seeing all those beer cans all around and inside the bed in the RV.”
However when Andy was getting inside the driver’s seat in the RV, she couldn’t help but notice that can of beer in his hand. Also, that morning, he hasn’t even made any effort to give her, a kiss, yet, like he, usually, does. Also, she thinks that being he’s an alcoholic now, and can’t face being one, that that alone has placed a damper on their relationship whether he realizes this or not. However Susan didn’t say one word to him about carrying a can of beer in his and driving after drinking at first. However upon noticing that he was jus sitting in the drivers’ seat, and seemingly, acting distant from her, she wouldn’t allow him to drive.
She knew where the mortuary was at herself, so she, simply, told Andy, “Now, Andy, I’m afraid to allow you to drive after having been drinking half the night and this morning. If some cop stops you for speeding, you will have a three hundred dollar ticket on you. Also, you’ll end up in jail for drinking and speeding. So, please, listen to me. Allow me to drive this RV to the mortuary, and you jus sit in front of me. If you let me, drive, you are doing it for yourself and me too.”
So, then, Andy said to her, “Okay, my darling, Susan, you know best, so, since, I don’t want to have to pay the toll for getting caught drunk driving, come over her to the driver’s seat, and I’ll switch seats with you.”
Without saying another word, he allowed her to take over the driving, and he jus, simply, got out of the driver’s seat, and she took over the driving of the RV. It took about an hour to get to the mortuary, however Susan had a map with her, and kept referring to it, every so often, to make sure, that she knew where she was heading with the RV. And all the while she was driving, he jus happened to fall asleep, and she allowed him to take the snooze being he needed the rest, badly.
An hour later as Susan pulled the RV into the mortuary parking lot, she, only, woke up Andy being she knew that he would like to go with her inside the mortuary to pick up the ashes.
Upon awakening Andy, he didn’t realize where he was at first, so he said to her before either one of them got out of the RV, “My dear, Susan, are we on strange territory? I don’t see another soul in sight right now. Also, I can’t seem to wake up, and feel like I’m very groggy and weighed down.”
“Would you like to wait inside the RV while I go inside, and pick up your brother’s ashes?”
“My brother’s ashes, you say? Am I dreaming of being inside the RV at this time?”
“No, you’re not dreaming, Andy, you wanted to come along with me to get your brother’s ashes, partly, because I thought, you wanted to so something special with them than jus allow the people at the mortuary to dispose of them, any way, they wished to.”
“So, that’s where we’re at? Okay, jus give me, a couple of minutes to get myself together.”
“Are you sure, you’re okay? You’re acting as though you’re in somewhat of a daze. I think that all that booze, you’ve been drinking has, really, been affecting you all day long so far. Wait a minute before you attempt to get out of the RV. I don’t want you, falling all over the place, and losing your balance out here, especially, on the pavement.”
So, she got out of the driver’s seat, and walked back to where the coffee maker was, and upon getting a mug, full of coffee, she set in the microwave for a minute. Then, she brought the mug of coffee plus one for herself over to Andy. She sat in the driver’s seat, taking a few minutes or so, to drink her coffee down while she waited for him to get his down too.
Jus as he finished his coffee, he said to her, “That’s more like it, now. Now, I feel wide awake, and am more aware of what’s going on at the present. I remember what we came here for, and that was so that we could get the autopsy results on Mike plus picking up his ashes.”
“What autopsy are you, referring to, Andy? You didn’t tell me about an autopsy being performed on Mike? Are you sure, you know what you’re talking about?”
“That’s right, my dear, why would I order an autopsy on Mike when the poor guy took his life through shooting himself to death with his hunting rifle.”
“You, Andy, surely, aren’t acting like you’re, fully, with it, yet. Why don’t you wait inside the RV, and have the rest of my coffee? There’s no doubt now that you are in somewhat of a daze. You didn’t go ahead, and try to take some medication from the cabinet in this RV, did you, especially, Cher Bear’s medications?”
“Now, I wouldn’t do a thing like that. Come on, now, why would I invade the medicine cabinet on you, now?”
“You could have done it while you were drunk, Andy. Are you feeling sick or queasy in your stomach at all, or have any signs of stomach cramps, coming on now? I know you by now. This isn’t the first time, that you invaded the medicine cabinet, and weren’t aware of doing it at another time when you were drunk as a skunk. And that was back a few years ago, when one of your hunting buddies got shot, accidentally, and you blamed it on yourself. And that same night, you got into the medicine, the medicine, I take for nerves. Are you sure, you don’t remember what you took last night or this morning, even?”
“Why is it, that you have to know what I took if anything from the med cabinet?”
“It’s because you could be suffering from poisoning, and not know it, being that you’re, still, suffering from the ill effects of alcohol. Or it jus could be alcohol poisoning too. You are sure to stay here in the RV; as soon as I come back with the ashes, since, I used to be a nurse before the hospital closed down in Newport, and I used to deal with many cases like yours. In fact, don’t move at all, I’m going to the back of the RV for a minute. You better take some charcoal, although, it’ll taste terrible. You’re showing signs of poisoning because you’re bending over. I’ll be right back.”
So, as soon as she got the charcoal, she administered to him, and he thought that he was going to pass out at first. However the charcoal worked, quickly, and along with another cup of coffee, he, suddenly, was alright. However Susan wouldn’t allow him to come inside the mortuary with her. In fact, she made him, lay down in a bed in back of the RV, and made him stay there until they arrived back at the cottage.
Upon her, going inside the mortuary and picking up the ashes, it seemed like it turned out to be a chore to her, however, then, she was surprised to find out, that an autopsy had been done on Mike. And it revealed that he had some type of medication inside him at the time along with at least six bullets in his chest. And the medication was Cher Bear’s medication, and along with the bullets, no wonder, he turned out dead in no time at all.
So, upon bringing the ashes back to the RV, Andy happened to be resting in a bed in the RV, so, she told him all about it then, “Andy, are you ready for what I’m about to say to you? Do you feel strong enough yet, because I’m aware, that your brother’s death was a shock to you?”
“Yes, my dear, I’m strong enough to take in what I’m about to hear from you. Does it involve my brother in any way?”
“Yes, it does; in fact, you were right about an autopsy having been done on Mike. As soon as I walked inside the building, a guy handed me, the results of it. And it revealed that Mike had taken some of Cher Bear’s medication at the time of his death besides six bullets being lodged inside his chest. You’d better stay lying down for now, at least, until we get back at the cottage. Are you sure, you’re alright now? Are you having any more cramping or pain or any other unusual symptoms at this time?”
“No, you acted jus in time. The charcoal along with the coffee you gave me, jus now, did the trick. You saved me from a trip to the hospital which would have been very hectic for me if I would have ended up sick from the medication; you said I got into along with being in an awful lot of pain. However please don’t mention anything else about my brother’s death to me unless I mention anything to you about it. I’ll let you know all my feeling surrounding his death, when I’m ready for it. However for now, jus allow me to get my rest and watch TV while you drive the RV back to the cottage. By the way, where did you put my brother’s ashes?”
“His ashes are setting inside the little cabinet near the coffee maker, and they will be safe there until we get back to the cottage. Then, when we arrive back there with the RV, I’ll allow you to decide what you want done with them because after all, they’re your brother’s ashes. It was your wish to have him, cremated, mostly, because there’s no funeral home within miles of the cottage.”
Andy seemed to fall asleep for a few minutes, at least, Susan thought, that he’s asleep. So, she wouldn’t drive the RV, yet, because she wanted to make sure, he wasn’t falling into a daze again. However after a few minutes, he said to her, “What were you, telling me, now? I didn’t catch the last sentence, because I seemed to drift off into another world. I started dreaming about good times with my brother.”
“That’s alright, Andy, you should allow yourself to think about the good times. It’s a good way to cope with your brother’s death. Maybe, he’s trying to tell you, something.”
Then, when she’s sure, he’s awake, and looking in her direction, she said, “Also on the way here while you were sleeping, I stopped over at the greenhouse, and picked the most beautiful statue, you ever saw, of an angel holding a book in his hands like he’s reading words of comfort. In fact, as soon as we get to our destination, I’ll let you decide, exactly, where you want it to be put in one of the gardens over at the cottage, or some place else if you wish because after all, it’s going to be a remembrance of your brother.”
So, then, Susan started up the ignition, and she’s in so much of a hurry to get back to the cottage before dusk, that she, actually, gunned down on the engine in the RV. And for a couple minutes, Andy thought, that the bearings were going in the RV, however jus then, he realized, that it is the way, that Susan is putting her foot on the accelerator.
While they were on their way back to the cottage, Andy, actually, started acting as if his brother, still, was around, yet. She didn’t realize it, that Andy, actually, is dreaming about his brother, again.
Andy is saying to himself, not realizing that he’s talking at this time, “Oh, my brother, Mike, w hat are you up to? Do you realize that you are being surrounded up above by all those angels? They are so please to see you because they know darn well, that you are not in pain anymore; and what you’re being fed up there is the best food, you could have. Its leaven, you’re eating being fed to you on a silver platter. And this platter seems to be so shiny, that it, actually, is giving off light which is blending in with the sunlight from the sky.”
He’s, partly, awake, and, still, dwelling on his brother, Mike, “You know something, brother; I am, really, missing your friendship and brotherliness. Are the only brother, I ever had in my life, and don’t know what I am going to do without you in my life. Jus keep giving me all your love from above and I’m sure that it’ll be enough for me. And be sure to tell Cher Bear, that I want all her love too; and keep giving her, all God’s love like you used to when you were on earth.”
Before they realized it, both Susan and Andy were in the driveway over at the cottage. And as soon as she pulled the RV into the garage being that it is supposed to rain, that night, she got out first. And she turned the light on in the garage, so, that Andy could see to get out of the RV, and as he is, she took him by the hand to make sure, that he wouldn’t lose his balance. She isn’t sure if all the alcohol which he’s been drinking is worn off yet. And she isn’t about to run him to the emergency center at this time of night because it would be jammed with patients.
As she took his hand, this, really, sent this burning desire for his body right through her, and she thought she was going to faint jus because it hit her so hard. And while they were walking into the cottage, she wondered if he ever would be back to his normal self, again, although, she knew that if she kept praying for him, that he would some day.
However, she’s in deep thought jus because their love hasn’t been the same, lately. And being she used to be a nurse, she knew the first step is to get him to go to Alcoholics Anonymous. It is important that he get over his drinking problem, especially, because while he’s drinking, he’s not acting like his normal self at all.
So, she thought, “When is my dear Andy, going to snap out of his daze, and realize, that he has to live while he can; and concentrate on getting over his alcohol problem besides overdosing on medication. He should be in a hospital right now on a detoxify program, however it’s so far away, that I don’t know how he would get there except by an ambulance. As soon as I can get him to get comfortable, and into his bedroom where he, always, feels homey not matter what.”
So, as soon as they were inside the cottage, she offered to get him something to help him, relax and sleep through the whole night and into the morning. And since, he agreed on her suggestion of milk and crackers, then, he gulped down the crackers and drank all the milk.
Then, being he is a bit unsteady right now, probably, because of all the drinking, he’s been doing, she held his hand as they walked up the stairs. And then, as soon as they arrived inside his bedroom, she said to him, “My Andy dear, are you in the mood for talking at this time? Let’s talk about how you want to hold the ritual for your brother’s sake. Did you want to get into it, tonight, or wait until tomorrow morning?”
As the two sat down in his bed together, he said to her in a loving way, “Let’s talk about it right now so, I can get it off my mind, and sleep through the night. That statue, you brought home for me for my brother’s sake, I noticed it, lying in back of the RV before getting out of it, tonight. While I meet you downstairs in the living room, I would like you to go get that statue if you can see well enough in the dark to retrieve it. In fact, here’s my flashlight, use this so you don’t have an accident, yourself. And if you find you cannot carry it to the back porch, then, jus set it down wherever you can find it again, and come and get me in the living room.”
So, then, without a word, Susan, then, grabbed his flashlight from him, and then, said, “Okay, if I can’t make it back to the porch, then, I’ll yell out for you. If I do, then, carefully, walk to the garage, and meet me there. In fact, I won’t attempt to carry it; go with me and then, I’ll let you, take the statue of the angel back to the porch. And from there, jus set it down on the porch, and we can talk about it, however we should wait until tomorrow morning, at least, to do anything.”
Although, he seemed to be in a daze at this time, she took him by the hand, and once, they reached the RV, like a miracle, he came out of it. However she stayed right there by the RV while he walked inside it, and carried the statue out of the RV. And from there, they walked together to the back porch, and since, he seemed to be alert enough for now, she said to him, “Okay, partner, jus blurt it out to me, your plans for the ritual tomorrow, that is.”
So, then, he said to her, “What I would like to do is after breakfast tomorrow, take the statue of the angel, and its best if we both walk together to the backyard. And upon arriving in the backyard, I’ll set it down right inside the garden in back of the cottage near the back door. And from there, we both should have a shot of whiskey, that’s boiled whiskey which won’t taste as good. However, at least, we can’t get drunk or high on it either. And from there, we’ll hold our little ritual which I’ll get into tomorrow morning with you. It’s getting late so I think we both should get to bed, now.”
Then, as he took her hand again, and leaned over her, his lips brushed against her right cheek which made her, yearn for his body again. However he’s too tired to go any further. At least, to her, it is a sign, that he realizes his love for her again for once.
Then, he backed away from her, and she followed him, upstairs to his room where they said goodnight to each other with his brief kiss. And then, she got ready for bed and to her surprise, she was able to fall asleep, that night, although, a yearning for his body is nagging her inside, again. And as she fell asleep, she dreamed about him, lying next to her, again, and she is saying in her sleep.
“My baby, my baby, I want all your body, and this love inside, please don’t take it away from me ever again.”
“I’ll be there at your side, I’ll, still, love you forever,” he is saying back to her in her dream; since, my brother died, I realized what your love means to me, you are the love of my life.”
The next morning, Andy was the first one to wake up, and after he got out of bed, he walked downstairs after changing his clothes, and putting on something more comfortable like his hunting clothes. Since, he remembered that he and Susan would be going through the funeral ritual, this morning, for his brother, Mike and Mike’s girl friend, he wanted to have the ritual in remembrance not jus of his brother and his girl friend. However he wanted to reminisce over all the times, he and his brother spent hunting together in his past, especially, all those deer and pheasants which the two had shot, and stuffed. And then, the two had put up some deer heads at home as well as a few stuffed pheasants being placed on wooden shelves in his bedroom as well in as his brother’s bedroom.
As he arrived downstairs in the kitchen, he was surprised to see, that Susan was awake, and, already, had some breakfast, setting in the microwave for him, a nice breakfast of some French toast which she, usually, made for herself and him on the weekends.
So, then, after he ate breakfast, he, then, walked outside to where the statue was where he had placed it, yesterday, and she happened to be there on the back porch, kind of teary-eyed, jus dreaming as she’s got her eyes, fixed on the statue. And she wasn’t aware of him, being inside the porch area at first, jus standing there, eying the statue too. And in her daydream, she’s talking to herself.
“I jus hope, that you two, Mike and Cher Bear, are not caught between two worlds, although, jus being on the back porch, I can feel both of your presences right here and now. And you Mike, are standing here right next to your brother, dressed in your hunting gear, and holding your hunting rifle at your side. And you Cher Bear, as usual, are keeping Mike, company, right out here on the back porch. And you two jus seem to be starry-eyed like usual being that you two love each other so much.”
So, then, after Susan was through talking to herself in her daydream which lasted about a half hour or so, she, suddenly, was aware of Andy, standing right there next to her. And she is surprised to see him, dressed in his hunting outfit which gave her, the impression that he is planning to do some hunting, this morning.
So, then Susan said to him, “Boy, I’m surprised to see you in your hunting outfit, this morning. Are you planning on doing some hunting, today, my friend, or is this jus the way, you wanted to be dressed for our funeral ritual for Mike and Cher Bear?”
“The thing is, that jus before I came down from my bedroom, I put this hunting outfit on, jus because I wanted to be dressed this way for our funeral ritual. So, my dear, are you jus about ready for our funeral ritual?”
“I’ve been ready for about the last half hour or so; however we better get going on it because it’s getting very cloudy, outside, and is supposed to rain, today.”
Then, the two took each other’s hand after Andy picked up the statue in his right hand, and the two walked over to a rock garden which he had made, the very first day on which he had bought the land and cottage. And as the two reached the rock garden, Andy set the statue down on the grass, and then, grabbed a shovel out of the shed, nearby, and started digging a hold right there in the rock garden.
After he dug out a good size hole, he, then, went back to the back porch, and grabbed the urn with his brother’s ashes inside, and brought it back to where there’s a hold in the ground. Then, he placed the whole urn inside the hole, and then, threw the dirt back onto the hole until the urn was pretty well buried underneath the dirt.
Then, he set down the shovel, and went down to his knees, and started talking to himself, however he, really, sounded like he’s talking to his brother and Cher Bear. “You know, you two, both you, Mike and Cher Bear, made a real nice couple when you two were living, and got along so well together. I’m jus surprised, that you two never had any plans to get married. Maybe, you two wanted to get married, and jus never had enough time to plan it. For one thing, I’m, really, going to miss you two, very badly, in my life, especially, you, my brother, because now, I’m feeling, very lonely, without you in my life.”
As he, then, went back to the kitchen, and boiled some whiskey, he poured some of it into two mugs, one for him, and one for Susan. After turning off the stove, he brought the two mugs to the backyard where Susan was on her knees, apparently, for the last time, paying her respects to both Cher Bear and Mike.
After she was done doing so, then, she stood up, and at that time, Andy gave her, a mug of whiskey, and they both drank their whiskey, together, making faces because the boiled whiskey didn’t taste so hot.
Then, while Andy picked up the statue of the angel, holding a book in his hands, he placed it right over the hole where he has jus buried his brother’s ashes. And then, he knelt down near the statue, and said to himself, “Oh, Mike and Cher Bear, you both were like family to me when you two were alive. It’s a shame that you, Mike had to shoot yourself to death, so, that you wouldn’t have to live your life without your loved one, Cher Bear. Well, the drink of whiskey which both Andy and I jus had was for both of you, so, that neither of you get caught between two worlds. And if either of you are, then, I pray, that both of you find Heaven, very soon.”
Then, right after their ritual being that the day is getting to be nicer, then, Andy said to Susan, “How would you like this? The day is, no longer, stormy looking like it, originally, was, and then, Mike has all hunting gear plus his hunting outfit here at the cottage. For another memory to my brother, how about if you take a try at hunting, and try on my brother’s hunting outfit. It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t fit you, perfectly; as long as it fits you, and if the arms and legs in the outfit are a bit long, you, always, can roll them up.”
“Are you kidding me about going hunting, Andy? I’ve never tried hunting before in my life, and well, so I went with you maybe once or twice, however I, really, never have been a good hunter. Are you, really, serious about this hunting thing?”
“You jus took the words out of my mouth. Yes, I am, my dear Susan. I jus know that you have enough courage and strength and know how to know about the safety of hunting. So, I’ll go inside, and pack a bag for both of us to go hunting; in the meantime, try on my brother’s hunting outfit. I’m sure that you being tall, and well-built, that it’ll fit you, pretty well.”
So, without another word, they both walked inside the cottage, and while she’s trying on his brother’s hunting outfit, he’s daring enough to get both his brother’s and his backpacks ready. Besides packing enough food and Gator Aid for the two of them, he went through his hunting list, and made sue, that he didn’t forget anything, especially, a compass. He, surely, didn’t want to forget a compass because if is the last thing, he wants, he, surely, didn’t want to end up lost in the woods. If that happened, they both could end up losing their survival jus by a mistake of nature.
So, as soon as he has everything packed, Susan has been going through his brother’s drawers on the first floor, and sure enough, she found all the hunting gear, she needed. And she, then, went ahead, and tried on Andy’s brother’s clothes right after closing all the blinds in the living room. And to her surprise, the hunting outfit fit very well on her besides the hunting boots.
Right after she was dressed, and Andy jus happened to walk into the living room, he, actually, got his camera out of his pocket. And then, he took some pictures of her in his brother’s clothes, and one of her, holding the hunting rifle by her side. It, accidentally, went off, and scared her for a moment; however neither of them were hurt, although, a bullet went flying out the back door, and broke a window. As the bullet had a mind of its own, she said to Andy.
“Oh, Andy, you and your crazy ideas, sometimes, I wonder if you are all here on earth. It’s a good thing that you weren’t standing right in the range of the rifle because you could have been shot by the darn thing. It’s a good an angel was looking over us; okay, do you, have everything ready for hunting now?”
“Yes, my dear, and jus before we dare go out in those woods, come right over here on this bear rug, and let’s say a prayer together, so, that God sends an angel to protect us while we’re out in the woods. I don’t need to lose another friend to a freak hunting accident.”
So, as soon as they both said their brief prayer, then, they both headed out into the woods being careful to watch where they’re heading. And jus before going into the woods, Andy noted on a piece of paper jus where the clearing is at from his cottage. That was done, so, that the two don’t end up getting lost in the woods, and not being able to find their way back to his cottage. Also, he noted what time it is right now, and while they were following the trail into the woods, he, also, made sure, he watched the time, carefully. This was, especially, going to be done by his method. While he hunted with his brother, he, always, counted mile after mile on his compass, so, that they wouldn’t end up being in the middle of the woods when dusk came around.
Jus a couple miles later, Andy jus happened to note a clearing in the distance, so, he and Susan, also, have special hunting hats on, orange ones with fake twigs in them. The fake twigs serve an important purpose when hunting for Andy; they keep him from being, accidentally, shot by another hunter. And another thing, is that he’s, always, careful, to not be in an open area where deer or any other animal tends to hang out. So, Andy said to Susan, “Be sure to stay close by me because you don’t want to end up lost. I know you’ve hunted with me and my brother before, however I know my way through the woods on this one trail. So, I never stir away from that trail; that’s one thing that’s important when hunting. That way, it’ll be hard to get lost in the woods.”
In fact, Susan stayed so close to him on the trail that she didn’t want to even, once, let go of his hand. Otherwise, if she didn’t, she could, easily, get steered away from him and lost in the woods. And now, since, they, still, were near the clearing, he told her, “Be sure to stay right on the trail, we are on right now because you can’t get lost on it. The way, this trail goes, it’ll take you right around the woods, so, in the end, it’ll take us right back to the clearing which leads us to the cottage.”
Suddenly, Andy yelled out to Susan, “Keep your eyes, fixed on that clearing because I jus saw a few deer, running through the clearing. Now, don’t try to move because if you do, you’ll lose track of the trail. Now, keep your gun aimed in that direction and you happen to see one of the deer or even a pheasant in range, be sure to fire at it, right away. And after you fire a couple of shots, if you don’t happen to see it anymore, or notice it, hit the ground, be sure to tell me. And then, don’t move, jus stay where you are, and I’ll go over, and get the deer, and drag it back here. And if you have to stop to rest, let me know that too, so, it’ll be a sign that we both have to have something to eat and drink too.”
So, jus about a half hour later, Susan saw a deer in her range, and shot at it. Then, in seeing it fall to the ground, she said to Andy, I can’t believe it. I, actually, shot down a deer in the clearing. And I’m sure it’s down because I didn’t see it run away when I shot at it jus now.”
Then, Andy said to her, “You stay here, my friend, and jus sit tight. It’ll take a few minutes or so to drag the deer back to the clearing the other way or maybe more time than that. When you happened to notice me, coming back towards you, yell something out to me, so I can follow your voice.”
Soon, he was dragging the deer back into the woods, and jus as she noticed him, heading out of the clearing, she shouted, “Over here, Andy by the trail, over here, I’m near a big maple tree, and watch out for my twigged hat, as I’m standing right now.”
Before she knew it, he had the deer right over to her, however he had to stop to take a drink of Gator Aid and have some food to eat. So, they both sat on the ground near the trail, and as soon as they finished eating their lunch, and had a big drink of Gator Aid, it was time to head back. So, being she’s a strong woman, she helped him, drag the deer, the rest of the way. And when they arrived at the clearing, they could see his cottage from where they were. Then, since, the garage isn’t far away, they dragged it to the garage, however they couldn’t allow the deer to stay there too long.
So, then, Susan walked inside the cottage, and changed and also, took a shower to refresh herself after hunting. In the meantime, he called a neighbor, and asked him, “Hello, my buddy, I’m sorry I didn’t call you sooner, however my girlfriend and I jus dragged back to the cottage, a good size deer which she shot, herself. So, would you, by chance, have some time available today or tonight to help me, clean out the deer, so, I can have the carcass picked up, and stuffed?”
“Now, is an unusual time for me to consider cleaning out a deer, although, my girl and I were planning an outing, tonight. However, I’m sure she can handle the guests tonight while I help you out. She’s, always, keen about something like this, or whenever an emergency comes along. So, I’ll finish eating and be right over.”
So, then, Andy’s cottage friend, Bill, came over to Andy’s cottage in no time at all, and upon walking into the backyard jus happened to catch Andy in his garage. And as Andy saw him, walking towards him, Andy is in such a good mood, that he, almost, yelled out to Bill, “Oh boy, wait to you see this one. This one is a beauty. I can’t believe that Susan got a deer in an hour’s time. It’s unusual for her to get one down in so little time. I guess this turned out to be her lucky day.”
As Bill caught up to Andy, he couldn’t believe his eyes either. “That jus is one darn good-looking buck, which Susan shot down,” he said to Andy, “I didn’t know that a woman could be such a good hunter when it comes to hunting down a buck.”
After Andy and Bill were through cleaning out the buck, then, Bill took the buck’s carcass some place not far from the cottage to be stuffed. And in the meantime, Andy cleaned all of the mess inside the garage, and then, when Andy walked inside the cottage, to his surprise, Susan was setting up a candlelight dinner for the two of them.
As she noticed him walk inside the cottage, and as he approached the dining room, he couldn’t believe his eyes. Before he could say one word, Susan said to him, “Well, how do you like this? I thought that because I shot that buck down in the woods before, that it calls for a celebration. Also, you’re going to cook that deer meet, or at least, some of it for dinner, tonight, aren’t you, Andy?”
“Yes, you jus took the words out of my mind, and out of my mouth. I’m not sure jus how long it will take to cook, however in the meantime, since, you can candles light up in the dining room, I think we should have a toast to this buck of ours. Do you have anything special in mind to drink, tonight?”
“In fact, while you and Bill were cleaning out that carcass, I snuck over to the nearest store, and pick up some of your favorite wine, Chablis. This should go, perfectly, with the celebration, tonight. And I’m sure you have something else in mind for tonight being that you were planning on leaving in the RV. Don’t worry, this type is non-alcoholic; actually, it is sparkling water, however I’m jus referring to it as being wine. Would you like some of it, right now?”
“Yes, I, really, do, my darling, Susan. And I have a surprise for you, tonight; and I want to let you know about while we’re waiting for the deer meat to cook. First of all, don’t get me wrong, although, you must have gotten the impression, lately, that when I became drunk, that one evening, that I didn’t care about you anymore. Well, that is very far from the actual truth. Before I go on, do you; love me, my darling, Susan?”
“Yes, I do love you, my Andy. I have loved for as long as I can remember. Although, after you got yourself, very drunk, that one night, the way, you acted towards me, made me, doubt you about our love. So, I think, that you have a confession to make to me. For one thing, do you love me, enough, to get into making love with me, tonight?”
“I do love you, my darling, with all my heart and soul. And nothing can ever change this. I know that right after my brother and also, Cher Bear died, not long ago, I must have been acting like I’m in my own world. And that, only, was because I had gotten myself drunken jus because I didn’t want to make any effort to try to cope with their deaths.”
“Well, my Andy, all these years in which I’ve known you, I’ve never seen you act like that one night on which you got drunk. That night, you gave me, the impression, that you all you cared for anymore were yourself. Also, jus because you seemed to ignore me, that night, and didn’t even make any effort to make love to me; I thought you were trying to pretend like your brother didn’t commit suicide. Also, it wasn’t like you, that night, to act like you didn’t want me in your life anymore.”
“However this has all changed, now, for the better. Although, it has taken me about a week’s time, to face my own brother being dead, and the feeling that it has, really, changed my life to the extent that I didn’t want to live anymore. However, since, I have been able to conquer my drinking problem, which alone has made me, feel brave enough to start taking charge of my life.”
“Well, if this is jus for me, please don’t get carried away, and get yourself drunk anymore because when you’re drunk, you’re a completely different person. In fact, that one night, you acted like someone, I’ve never met before in my life; you scared me, that night. I thought that you were going to take your hunting rifle, and take your life like your brother did. So, please don’t do this to me ever again because that night, you were drunk, I, almost, walked out on you, also, I was considering taking on that job offer in Newport, and getting my old job back as a nurse.”
“My dear, Susan, please don’t move out of state, and take that nursing job because if you ever do, I’ll have to break up with you because I have my staff job back in Port Huron. And I’ve been on that job for so many years, that I could never give that job up because it would be hard to find a job like that one anywhere else.”
“Don’t worry about that, my Andy; I won’t do anything like move out of state. If it’s the last thing I do, I don’t want to hurt you in any way. And I can, always, get a job as a live-in-nurse right over at your house in Port Huron. I, really, want to get you into that Alcoholic Anonymous program; what I want to do is start one right at your house if you don’t mind. I am, really, concerned for your well being.”
Susan, suddenly, was out of breath for a minute or so, however, then, she continued, “And, since, you taken to alcohol, again, since, your brother’s death, I, also, think that at the same time, I could give you, counseling to help you and me too get through the grieving process over your brother’s and Cher Bear’s deaths. So, will you do this for yourself, and hire me as your own nurse?”
“Since, I love you so much, my dear Susan, so that we stay together the rest of our lives, I will; as of right now, you’ve been hired as my nurse. Also, I have something else, very important to tell you right now.”
“Okay, my Andy, please don’t keep it inside you. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be to hear what you have to say to me.”
“Jus give me, a couple of minutes to get myself together. I’m not going to cry now; if I do it’ll be tears of happiness.”
Then, after the cat has his tongue for a few minutes, he, then, said to her, “It’s not that it will slip my mind if I don’t tell you right away, It’s jus that I can’t wait any longer to let you in what I’m about to tell you. My Susan darling, as you know I love you so much, and have been in love with you for many years. Will you, my dear, take my as your husband? Will you marry me for better or for worse, for rich or for poor until death do us apart?”
“I’ve been waiting for a couple of years for you to ask me, that question; so, straight from my heart, the answer is yes.”
At that, Andy got up out of his chair for a moment or two as tears of happiness rolled down his face. However he walked right over to the other side of the table where Susan is sitting, and he gave her, a big hug and kiss. And upon the kiss and hug, they both were speechless at first, however then; he said to her, “I’m going to check to see if the deer meat is done.”
So, he walked over to the oven, and, since, the deer meat is done by now, he grabbed two mittens, and, carefully, lifted the pot of meat out of the oven. Then, upon setting it on the counter, she was silent while he carved the meat because she didn’t want to talk while he was busy carving the meat. She didn’t want him to slice a finger off, and then, have to end up in the emergency clinic.
She didn’t know it, however the deer meat had been cooked in white wine, and however they didn’t have to worry about getting drunk on the wine because the process of cooking took out all the alcohol which is present in white wine. And as he’s bringing the dinner over to the table, he, actually, took one of the candles to her surprise, and lit the meat which scared her for a minute. However the flame went out, immediately, and right before them, they had some dinner with a taste similar to filet mignon.
All through the whole dinner, both Andy and Susan were very quiet as no to spoil the silence. Jus before they started eating, he handed her, this note: while we’re eating dinner, this uncanny silence will overcome you. So, jus allow this silence to consume your inner being. As I set this dinner up to turn out very romantic, even though, you helped me on this, the smell of the candles, I interpret as potpourri. Don’t be surprised if it gets you in the mood for making love because that is how I want our evening to end up.”
As soon as Andy and Susan were through eating their dinner, then, Andy got up out of his chair, and then, he walked over to Susan. As he did, she got up out of her chair, and allowed him to hug her, tightly, grabbing her close. While doing so, his chest seemed to rub against her breasts which caused a sudden burning desire to creep up inside her body. As this happened, she said to him, “Oh, my Andy, can, really, feel your chest, rubbing against me; now, I can’t seem to resist your body. Can feel the coarse hairs, standing up on your hairy chest which is driving me, crazy, and turning me on.”
Then, as she let out this big sigh, without saying a word, he, actually, picked her up into his arms. And then, he carried her upstairs into his bedroom, and as he arrived there, he set her down, gently, on his bed. As he did, he stared into her eyes, and at this time, she seemed to be starry-eyed, and didn’t known how to react to this burning desire inside her as it seemed to be engulfing her inner being like a flame which can’t be put out.
Then, he crawled into the bed with her, and before she realized what’s going on between them, he, actually, turned on his side. Now, they were facing each other, and then, they both got into some French kissing sliding their tongues in and out and all over inside each other’s mouths. As they were, she’s in deep thought, “Oh honey, this feels wonderful, we haven’t kissed like this in some time. This kissing, really, feels quite different to me. This French kissing seems to be taking over my body, causing me to become quite helpless to your touch.”
At that, he’s started to slide his hand up her yellow sundress, and as he’s doing so, she can’t seem to control the desire within her. Her body keeps begging for more and more as he’s sliding his hand all over body. And right now, he’s cupping his hand over one of her breasts which are feeling so good to her. This is causing her nipples to turn hard, and as she can’t do anything right now because the helplessness has taken over her body, her whole body is giving into his tender touch.
Then, before they both realized it, they both were into making love unlike anything she’s ever experienced before in her life. As they are, she’s saying to him, “Boy, Andy, didn’t know that having romance and making love could be so soothing and overcome with so much desire. Never knew I had so much desire inside me to begin with.”
In about an hour, they were done making love, and being that both of them were too helpless to get out of bed, they both fell asleep together in his bed. And the two slept through the entire night without even one nightmare, and they both slept in the nude, mostly, because it turned out to be one fiery night as far as making love went. Also, that night seemed to be quite muggy, and jus before they had gotten into any romance, he had turned on the air conditioning, so, that it would be cool enough to sleep in his bed.
